Jun 10th 2008 9:40PM My mom lives with me and we have talked about what she wants. She prefers to be cremated but says to consider the rest of the family. Like where they live, have they expressed wishes to visit a grave. The ages of grand children when the time comes and will they need a head stone to understand, things like that. The other thing that is really important, I think, is designate one person who makes the decision, to avoid fights. Mom and I are very close so I'm the chosen one. Basically though says Mom "I no longer need the body, the next phase is body free." For me, I'm good with the same attitude. My husband was cremated in his car accident so there was no choice, however his ashes are buried and his young children and I have a place to talk to Dad. I would like to be next to him if I had the option after anything useable is donated. I do not want a wake or a funeral per say, I want a PARTY where there is much laughter, jokes, fun and favorite foods. Death and taxes are inevitable so you might as well make it as fun as possible and easier to get through for those left behind. I will be with Gary looking down and laughing at who is wearing the lamp shade.

Mar 29th 2008 4:45PM My sister will call me while driving simply because she is bored. I ask, how can you be bored while driving a huge, heavy vehicle? Every other person on the road, including you and your passengers counts on you to not kill them. Driving is the most important thing you will do any day you get behind the wheel. If you are stupid enough to use your cell phone (talking or texting) while driving then I say you aren't smart enough to drive as it is.

Sep 4th 2007 9:41PM So if you are gay or lesbian you can say anything you want, call anyone any trashy name you like. But if you are straight and you, in jest, after hosting a 23 hour show for disabled people, make a comment to illicit a laugh you should be tarred and feathered. Makes me wonder if those that are yelling so loud have a problem with their own choices.
