Cat-Beating YouTube Teens Arrested (Switched)
Feb 19th 2009 9:46PM PS- If they feel like kicking something, why don't they try kicking and torturing each other. In this case, I would condone it.
Cat-Beating YouTube Teens Arrested (Switched)
Feb 19th 2009 9:30PM I am apalled at the "boys" cruel and inhumane behavior. It's crimes like this, no matter whether teenage or adult, that make me think that these persons need to be tracked for say, 5 years or so, just like child molesters. Then if the same person(s) commit another such crime, they could get slapped with more than "animal cruelty" charges, and thus get harsher punishment. Animal cruelty, in my opinion, is not punished harshly enough and the laws should be changed. Now, it's nothing more than slapping their hands and sending them home.
Do You Prefer Wet or Dry Shampoo? (AOL Hot Searches)
Jun 30th 2008 9:59AM Back in the early 1970's, my mom had cancer. After one of her surgeries, I think she had a mastectomy, she was going through chemotherapy and all, and it was extremely difficult for her to shower, let alone to wash her hair. She started using a dry shampoo, some of you gals might remember, called Pssssssst. It seemed to work really well for her. Her hair looked clean enough to us kids anyway. I'm just surprised it's taken this many years for people to come up with this idea again. I mean, really! Over 30 years of buying shampoo when we didn't need to? If, for example, you bought a bottle of shampoo every 2 weeks, at $5.00/bottle, would be $10.00/month. Times 12 months=$120.00/year. Times 30 years=$3600.00! $3600.00 times how many families for 30 years? Now we're gettin into the big bucks. Not to mention the unneccessary wear on your hair. You don't suppose all the shampoo companies kept this under wraps just for the almighty buck? Damn! It seems everything's always about the money.
Raising cash in a hurry #11: Take in a boarder (WalletPop)
Jun 18th 2008 12:47AM Those were a couple of the TAMEST roommate/boarder stories I've ever heard in my life! Don't EVEN get me started! All I can say, is, that if you're considering this seriously, have a contract, charge a security deposit(unless you've got a houseful of really crappy stuff), and you're probably better off not renting to friends. If you're not acquainted, you can treat this like a business, nothing personal, like Pat said earlier. Otherwise you'll find you have NO privacy and suddenly their all up in your business, and dragging you into theirs! YUK!!! Gives me chills up and down my spine just remembering back. Oh, and, Good Luck!
Spaying Cats: Yes or No? (Animal Hubbub)
Jun 20th 2007 4:10AM Have them spayed.I had a beautiful female kitty for about 16 yrs.One day,out of the blue,I found her hiding under a chair. She was unwilling to come out,and was constantly licking her tummy.I hadn't a clue why she was behaving this way. If the cat won't come out,I go to the cat. So,crawling under the chair I see that her tummy is all red & practically licked raw.I tried again to get her out.No go.I called the vet, and they said to bring her right in.(I thought,"easier said than done")Finally, after quite a bit of what sounded like painful meowing,I got her to the vet. This happened more than 10 yrs ago,and believe it or not I hadn't heard of "spaying to prevent mammarian cancer"amongst other illnesses. She was strictly an indoor kitty. Not even once did she get out.I was adament about that.So I don't feel like an irresponsible pet owner. But the vet told me my baby had mammarian cancer(I think)and was suffering. That was why she was licking herself raw.He said that it had gone too far,and nothing could really be done(as I couldn't afford it). When he said the best thing was to put her to sleep to end her suffering,he might as well of stabbed me in the heart.I've never been so scared in my 52 yrs.Writing this hasn't been easy for me.It's still very painful, even though it's been over 10 yrs.I had a miscarriage that wasn't as hard to bear. I would save her that pain. Please have them spayed! To add insult to injury, my other kitty of almost 15 yrs.ate some of the tainted pet food just before the recall happened.Granted, he's 15, but has always been a healthy 22lbs.Til he ate the tainted food. Now even the vet said the tainted food could have started his kidney disease. He is still here now, at less than half his weight. And only God knows how much longer he'll be with me. But back to the subject, HAVE THEM SPAYED!!!
Smoke-Free Hotel Rooms (Gadling)
Oct 27th 2006 9:39AM PS-
I got on such a rant I forgot to say that it'll be a cold day in hell before I stay in one of those hotels! Overpriced rooms and overpriced, crappy food!
Smoke-Free Hotel Rooms (Gadling)
Oct 27th 2006 9:29AM I'd like to commemt on several points made by a few people. I too have observed non-smokers in a smoke-filled setting, drinking & having a good time, & they didn't seem bothered by the smoke at all!But on their way back to their "non-smoking" rooms, they didn't hesitate to throw a glare at me as I too returned to the hotel while smoking. And,smoking hasn't been allowed in MOST places for as long as I can remember. Then no smok. on planes, and alot of businesses followed suit.I recently heard about some town in Calif. that wants to be COMPLETELY smoke-free.Smokers are only allowed to smoke IN their homes & IN their cars.COME ON!That's where I'll draw my line.Enough is enough! My advice to the smokers:TRY to be more considerate. My advice to the non-smokers: QUIT WHINING and carry some Citrus Magic with you if you travel. It works GREAT!Just spray a little bit in your room when you first get there. You'll be amazed at what a great air freshener it is.I use it when I travel because smoking or non-smoking rooms ALL stink from using the air conditioner. You know, that moldy smell. And I'm sure it's safe to breath that moldy air, isn't it? Get a grip people! I can just imagine if you folks REALLY had stuff to complain about. It could be worse! You could be living in Baghdad! That'll give you something to complain about!

Connery Back in Bond? (Cinematical)
Apr 8th 2006 11:41PM "Set to take on the role of a coward"? That wouldn't be the same Sean Connery we've all grown to love or emulate. This IS just a rumor, yes? I can't believe that he would even contemplate taking a role that so contradicts his very being! But on the other hand, I do love watching Sir Sean's expression and mannerisms. And I could listen to him forever. Hmmm...maybe he could be an uncle, who is deep, deep undercover, maybe a double agent. He is forced to surface first,to save the new Bond (that still doesn't ring true somehow), then show him in whose footsteps he is expected to follow. And those are some mighty big footsteps, aren't they Mr. Bond? As long as Sir Sean Connery is on the big screen,I'm happy.
