'Father Albert': 'Green Mile' actor, 51, and 16-year-old bride defend marriage (Celestrellas)

Jul 21st 2011 5:12PM This is just two really deluded people who may truly care for one another but there's very little chance this could really work! When one of them wakes up, the other will be very hurt. I'm a big fan of Doug's (especially LOST), but he's already been married twice before and now it seems he's going backwards in his evolution as a man...which makes me feel sad for him. I would like to wish them the best but I really can't see how they (especially HE) could fool themselves into thinking this is an okay thing to do. I think that they are possibly BOTH mentally disturbed, but hey, I'd love to see them together still in even just three years - I'd love to be wrong - it would be nice to see that they really were in 'true love'.

Poor people spend 9% of income on lottery tickets; here's why (WalletPop)

May 31st 2010 2:25PM If you play the lottery, say, twice a week, that's two dollars - and even the working poor can usually afford to spend two dollars a week on a pipe-dream. Sure, the odds against winning are astronomical, but someone has to win, right? I think that's the thinking that goes into a lotto ticket purchase - why NOT me? You're taking a risk, but the cost is relatively low, so why not?

Happy 30th Birthday, 'The Empire Strikes Back'! (Moviefone Blog)

May 22nd 2010 12:07AM All hail Empire!!! Probably one of the closest-to-perfect movies(screenplays)in any genre...it is perfectly paced and plotted, and I would say that the film rests on the shoulders of Mark Hamill. Sure, Han Solo gets to be the cool guy, and he's great - but Hamill has to not only convey the shock and anguish of learning the horrible identity of his father, he also has to make a puppet believable...and his scenes with Yoda do just that. Hamill is the one who sold Yoda to us, no doubt about it. I always thought that Hamill was unappreciated in this saga. Look at his arc from A New Hope to Jedi...he goes from naive farmboy to badass Jedi, and he does it well. Give Mark Hamill some love, he is the REAL hero of all the Star Wars films.

John Travolta's Dogs Killed in Airport Accident (PopEater)

May 17th 2010 11:25PM Wow, Michael, that pseudo-'spiritual' sounding "knowledge" you're laying down is seriously misguided, man. Do you even know the Travoltas? If not, how can you make that judgement? Not to mention it's a heartless thing to say. This is a horrible tragedy and I don't think any of us believe that the Travoltas somehow 'deserved' it. Condolences to the Travoltas, and I hope Michael reexamines himself.

Five Scenarios the 'Lost' Finale Should Avoid (AOL TV)

May 17th 2010 1:14AM I don't get why this site would have someone who's "not really a LOST watcher" write a piece about the show...? For a show as labyrinthine as this, with as many hardcore fans as it has, "outsider" speculation is ridiculous. Any Lostie already knows that any of the above scenarios for an ending is highly unlikely.

'Lost' - 'Across the Sea' Recap (AOL TV)

May 13th 2010 10:36PM Simpression, I'm with you, and appreciate your clearing up some things for others who perhaps haven't paid attention as closely. People should thank you for the info instead of hurling insults at you - everything you stated was correct, as seen in the episodes.
Initially I was disappointed with 'Across the Sea', but I reserve judgement until after the finale - and I think alot of people have posted already that there's more to this episode than we think...but I didn't really need to see the clip from Season One in which our Losties found the Adam and Eve skeletons - that felt like pandering - a wee bit, anyway.
Lost is like a great big intricate novel in which every 'chapter' (episode) plays a vital part...remember the Bai Ling episode from Season 3, "Stranger in a Strange Land"? It's pretty much considered one of the worst ever, yet it still revealed some important stuff about the Others and about Jack's destiny, perhaps...
Will miss LOST soooo much when it's over...Namaste, everyone.
