Bill O'Reilly Explains What Black People Are Like {News Bloggers}

Sep 26th 2007 10:47PM Oh yeah, God forbid that anyone, regardless of their race, get paid for their hard work, get an education, raise good strong loving families. What the hell would this country be? This country was built by people from many lands, who came here to find freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from persecution. I am always amazed by the loudest voices. Most are uneducated, in a land where ANYONE, can get an education. Most are lazy and expect to live off the rest of us who worked hard to get what we have. These are the voices who are always putting blame on the "minority" for every bad thing that happens. Oh, and this goes the other way too, the voices that blame the majority for it's problems. I see people who have come to this country with NOTHING, and made a good life for themselves. NEVER using food stamps, or welfare checks. They have worked hard, like most of our ancestors to make a good life in this country. Of course this is not always the case. There will always be those who choose to TAKE and not GIVE. Those who blame everyone for their miserable life. Get an education. Get to know the many colors in this country. And, I don't mean education only in the sense of book learning. Getting educated also means life learning. Experience what it is like to see someone thru their eyes. Compassion is something we should all have, for each other and for ourselves. It's no wonder most of the rest of the world hates the U.S. Look at how we treat ourselves.
In most other counties, people speak a minimum of 4 languages. And yet, in this country we balk at having a choice, or opportunity to learn anything but english. Granted, we don't border but two counties. So why is it so outrageous to learn spanish, and french? Who does it hurt?
I was born in this country, my parents were born here. Three of my 4 grandparents were born here. I think if we go back 4 or 5 generations, we will see that most of them, were born in other parts of this world. We should all go back and try to find out why they came here. I wonder if they would be so proud to see what has become of their children.
I don't understand all the hate in this country, for people who are different.
I'm proud of my heritage, and I'm also a proud American. I love pan dulce, and cannolis, french pastry and fried rice, lasagna and cheddar brauts. I love that I have friends who are smart, interesting, hard working and compassionate. I love what they bring to my life, and hope that they love learning from me. Life is to short and I have so many things to experience. As the old song says, "teach your children well."

New iPods Next Month? {Switched.com}

Aug 29th 2007 9:26PM We've had three I-Pods in this family and they've only lasted 2-3 years. The Creative Zen we've had is around 6-7 years and we've never had a problem with it. I will NEVER buy another IPod. I'm looking forward to the new Zen. We've also owned an MP3 player for almost 10 years now. It was given to me as a sample to test. This thing only holds 60 songs, but I've never had any problems with it either. The company that made it is sadly out of business, but because of bad management, not bad products. There are many options to IPod, don't know why anyone would still want one.
