Barbara Boxer: Please Call Me 'Senator' (Politics Daily)

Jun 19th 2009 2:49AM Times are changing.
Many intelligent women do not wish to be called "madam" or any form thereof.
"Ma'am" is an out-of-date term; its usage now is not a sign of original thinking. It often substitutes for true regard for a woman. It is NOT preferred among educated women.
In the military, "Sir" has traditionally been a sign of respect. "Ma'am" was NOT in that it formerly was not needed; there actually is NOT a precedent for this term equating to respect. With women increasingly serving our country, increasingly rank is preferred NOT "Ma'am."
I would bet my bank account that most of the furious commentators have NOT themselves served in our armed forces.

Phelps Calls Le Batard An 'Idiot' After Cutting His Interview Short (Fanhouse Backporch)

Sep 26th 2008 10:14PM Sh. BACON,
You do NOT need to insult the intelligence of your readers with the ridiculous admonition "come on," trying to enlist us into agreeing with you about the interviewer's sense of humor.
SORRY, BACON, but not only do we get it, we also agree with Phelps. Bravo for an athlete who does not need to blindly follow any given interviewer's line of questioning. Le Betard is no journalist; Phelps was man enough to find him rude and to leave. Good.

Hot Seat: Obama's Glass Jaw? (Politics Daily)

Mar 5th 2008 2:14PM Senator Obama is thoughtful, smart, and more than tough enough to take a punch; he didn't need to swing back. Kept his focus on bigger issues. HE IS THE REASON young people are interested again in politics, voting, and being involved in the future of this great country! My teenagers admire him; I do too.

Sep 29th 2007 10:21PM I immediately think of Capt. Picard !

Sep 25th 2007 3:01AM Good grief. Tooooo much air-brushing on this photo.

Why is Rachel Hunter promoting a diet drink? (That's Fit)

Jul 9th 2007 11:31PM If you can't grow it in a field, think twice about ingesting it.

If it's a thought from a celebrity, think three times before listening to it.

Oh. Gee. That means you'll have to think.

Amanda Beard Hits the Cover of Playboy (Fanhouse Olympics Blog)

Jun 6th 2007 10:27AM Sell-out. Shame on you Amanda. Hope you read these, but I doubt you will. YOU ARE NO LONGER A ROLE-MODEL IN MY HOUSE, FOR MY DAUGHTERS.

Dressing for Romance (oldstylelist)

Mar 13th 2007 4:01PM Discomfort in stiletto heels is actually NOT SEXY AT ALL. This writer wrote two dimensionally, as if looking at a page in a magazine. MOVEMENT is what is sexy; being aware of how you radiate that movement in a 360 degree sphere counts far, far more than some red slash of lipstick. Go back to school. Immature writing, Amsale.

Combat skin cancer with curry (That's Fit)

Jan 17th 2007 12:14AM From the curries of southern India, to the curries of northern Japan, the tastes and textures are thrilling, enticing, aromatic, and pleasing to me and my kids! My daughters ask for it with great anticipation; it is fun to cook. I thought that psychologically there could be a benefit to any food we love; hearing that there could be more than just a positive mood uplift is intriguing.
MY BROTHER just went through a brutal round of Interferon for malignant melanoma. I wonder if some curry could help prevent a recurrence.

How to get a flat tummy and abs... the right way! (That's Fit)

Dec 3rd 2006 2:42AM Gravity.
Go against it.
Will get results.
The couch is higher than the floor. Body part hanging off couch will have to work against gravity.
OOga Booga. Got it, cavepersons? Then, continuing to think about gravity and physics: eat the APPLE, not the french fries.
