Michael Bay responds to Paramount's abandonment of Blu-ray: "No Transformers 2 for me!" {Engadget HD}
Aug 21st 2007 6:46PM I am a circuit city employee and I must say that 99% of all the players that we sell are on blu-ray. If you want to take advantage of your high definition television set, then blu-ray is definately the way to go. The majority of all the studios support blu-ray. Up untill recently, it was only the flagship hd dvd players that even produced a 1080p image. During the holiday season, we probably sold 80-90 bluy ray players per entertainment associate. The majority of people who are SERIOUSE about upgrading are going to buy the product that is superior, and the ignorant cheap asses are going to wait and see who wins the format "battle" first. These are the people that strike me as the HD DVD supporters. I got the movie Eddie Murphy, Comming to America for $12.75 including the shipping and handling at blu-ray.com
Your not going to buy a "Lexus" and not get any excessories. The number one reason why people return their high definition tvs back to the store is becasue they are not getting their high def sources to their tv. DVD is no different. I am sure Paramount will reconsider their decision to support blu-ray.
