New York City's worst rated hotels (Gadling)

Jan 26th 2012 9:51AM There are lots of fine, reasonably priced hotels in New York. But, use your head: You're not going to find anything worth considering for under 100 dollars-a-night. It is, after all, New York.

Aug 8th 2011 8:57AM The easiest way to get ride of kitchen clutter is.........uh,.....get rid of it!

Dispatch From Milan: A Chair Made of...Clothes? (Shelterpop)

May 1st 2011 6:32PM Does the word "absurd" strike a familiar note. But, of course, people will buy anything they're told will put them on the cutting edge. They negect to consider what's being cut.

Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding Dress and What Else to Watch For on April 29! (AOL Royal Wedding)

Apr 27th 2011 8:23AM Hmmm. A royal wedding. Smashing, don't you think. Actually, I don't. I seem to recall that we fought a revolution some years ago to rid outselves of these folks. Two wars, actually. But here we are, drooling over the royal couple on whom tens of millions of will be lavished this week and countless millions more over the years. Do I wish them well? Sure. Do I care? No.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP7: New Digital Camera Whitens Teeth, Erases Wrinkles and Applies Makeup (Stylelist (Main))

Mar 23rd 2011 7:40AM Nice camera. Nice touches. But are we really so incredibly vain that we need photo touch-ups ups? Are really so insecure that we're afaid the world at large will think less of us if we're seen as we really are? I prefer to think otherwise. But, at the agre of 75 and counting, my vanity has long since been relegated to the scrap head of memory....where it belongs.

World's Ugliest Hotels (AOL Travel News)

Mar 8th 2011 9:02AM Okay. Most of them are pretty hideous. (Or is that a contradiction in terms) But I kinda like the Dog Bark Park Inn. Quirky? Sure. But fun.

Christina Aguilera Botches National Anthem at Super Bowl, Admits Mistake (PopEater)

Feb 7th 2011 7:23AM How long, Oh, Lord! How long must we endure the frantic screeching of these so-called superstars as they attempt to spin the National Anthem to suit their unremarkable talents. Years ago Robert Goulet made a fool of himself by forgetting the words. Then there was Roseann Barr's horrific rendition of the Anthem in San Diego. Now we have Christina Aguilera's shameful performance in Texas. It's the National Anthem, dammit! Not just some forgettable piece of pop music crap. It should be sung as it was intended to be sung: both words and music. Is that really too much to ask?

Spirit Airlines Tells Passenger To Stand During Flight (AOL Travel News)

Jan 2nd 2011 1:18PM As a seasoned traveler I would move heaven and earth to stay off an Airbus; any Airbus. They are stunningly uncomfortable aircraft, and I'm only 6'0". You want more comfort? Fly Boeing.

'Godfather' House on Sale in Staten Island (Housingwatch)

Dec 5th 2010 9:04PM If only I had the cash I'd "make them an offer they can't refuse."
