Tennessee Home Burns as Firefighters Watch (AOL Real Estate)

Dec 7th 2011 11:08AM I have to ask: If the homeowner hadn't paid his insurance premiums, would you feel that the homeowner's losses should still be paid for by the insurance company? It's the same thing with the fire department.

Video: Cyclist hit by car and lands on feet (Gadling)

May 26th 2011 6:12PM Just another bicycle rider who doesn't know the rules of the road apply to bikes as well as to cars, plus the rule of physics that says "In any dual between a car and a bicycle, the car always wins." Here in San Francisco, we have the same problem, i.e., bicyclists constantly failing the test of "rules of the road" and, sadly, occasionally failing the physics test as well.

Dior Designer John Galliano Is Fired; Natalie Portman 'Deeply Shocked and Disgusted' by His Anti-Semitic Remarks (Stylelist)

Mar 3rd 2011 7:53PM Your comments are interesting, but I think you should get out more often. Jews being in control of "banking" is an interesting concept. Can you name the Jewish CEO's of the World's top 10 banks? Good luck.

Mar 3rd 2011 7:49PM I had a 4 Dior Citroen sedan once. Like most French cars, it looked a bit weired, but my ladyfriends thought it was quite chic.

Mar 1st 2011 8:07PM "Barbara" asks: "Why on earth would a man in his position speak and act that way towards anyone? WTH was he thinking?"
Barbara, he wasn't thinking. He was drunk and probably under the influence of some other drugs as well; pills is my guess. That's no excuse for his abhorant behavior, but it does give us an insight into his personality. I wonder who he'll be designing clothes for next week? Strange, isn't it, that someone as prominant in the "rag" trade would go out of his way to insult Jews, who play such a prominant role in every facet of that business? "Stupid" is too light a term for his behavior, but it's about the best I can do at short notice.

Richard Childress Reflects on Dale Earnhardt, Predicts an RCR Title (Fanhouse Motorsports Blog)

Feb 6th 2011 1:25PM Dale Sr. didn't die because he was blocking anyone. He died because of his stubborn refusal to wear a HANS device. They were available then but Sr., along with almost all the other top rank drivers, pooh-pooh'd them. If he'd been wearing one, we wouldn't be having this conversation now. Well, we'd still be having the conversation, but it wouldn't be about his death. It'd be about his blocking maneuvers at the end of the race.

Consumer Reports pulls Recommended rating on Ford Edge, Lincoln MKX - MyFord Touch to blame? (Autoblog)

Jan 4th 2011 7:44PM Ford isn't alone in the field of overly complicated driver interface systems. BMW's infamous system has been improved, but it's taken four years to get to a point of being not as impossible as it was when introduced. My 2010 Audi A3 also has a ridiculous system, one that takes much too much eye time away from the road to operate, for example, the navigation system. In fact, the touch screen nav system in my 2008 Shelby GT500 Mustang is much simpler and driver friendly than the two years newer Audi's. I actually disabled the BlueTooth phone system on the Audi because it was so hard and distracting to use.

I'm contemplating the purchase of a Cadillac CTS-V coupe. One of the things that keeps me from writing a check is that the dash board looks frighteningly like a chrome pipe organ keyboard. I guess I could learn to live with it, the rest of the car being so damnmed NICE.

Did Anderson Go Easy on Eminem on '60 Minutes'? (PopEater)

Oct 13th 2010 12:35AM Eminem (shouldn't that be 'M&M?), as a lyricist, is certainly no Oscar Hammerstein, or Bob Dillon, for that matter. What else could we expect from, if not a great musician, certainly a clever artist who writes for his "peeps?" The more people talk about it, the more exposure Eminem gets. Think about it.

Heico Sportiv adds aggression to new Volvo S60 [w/video] (Autoblog)

Aug 29th 2010 11:06PM Thanks for letting us know. I'll check it out. Not much of a Volvo fan, but I wasn't much of a Dodge fan either, until I bought an SRT-4. Hope it has a better future than that late, lamented Dodge did.

Aug 29th 2010 12:05AM Another great car that will never see the light of day in USA showrooms.
