Serena Williams takes her temper out in Tampax ads (Daily Finance)

Sep 24th 2009 3:03PM "MacEnroe cussed a few people and made an Ass of himself...but he never threatened so directly that he would 'jam a tennis ball' down an officials' throat while shaking a racquet menancing while marching towards the official to within a couple of feet."

Absolutely true - McEnroe made an Ass of Himself sometimes, but he never went around threatening people with physical harm.

Also, it is interesting that McEnroe has grown up enough now to make fun of himself - a sign of being a real grown of - as is shown in his TV commercials where he gruffs: YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS - but then smiles about it.

Have You Ever Checked Your Significant Other's E-Mail? (Switched)

Nov 13th 2008 2:14PM Messing around with and reading someone else's e-mail is absolutely despicable !!

Also, nobody should read another's postal mail - except in the case where that task has been delegated, such as by a businessman to his seceretary, or by an invalid to his caretaker.

Nation's Tallest Player Kenny George Undergoes Amputation (Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog)

Oct 18th 2008 6:38PM "What once saved us from infections (antibiotics), is now killing us."

That is such an unscientific statement with absolutely no foundation in fact. You don't provide any evidence because you can't.

When antibiotics are 99% effective, then the 1% where they aren't is a lot of people. But which group to you want to be in? I'll take the damn big group. Just because you were in an unfortunate minority doesn't meant that the drugs are no good, or that they are "killing people".
Also, just because you are claiming something loud enough doesn't make it true.

In case you don't know antibiotics have been around for billions of years (produced by micro-orgnisms), and if they weren't good and helpful, they wouldn't be produced by them.

Is Plus-Size the Average Clothing Size? (Shopping Articles Blog)

Oct 11th 2008 4:38PM So, Mr. Unjustified Expert had this nonsense to say with fancy language:
"The term 'bigger' is a misnomer, we're getting fatter, not bigger, there's a big difference!"

However, "Mr. Expert" doesn't know that over the past five or more decades, men and women in the U.S. have been getting taller on the average, and more muscular, too. (Excluding the many short immigrants who have come in from the Orient, Southeast Asia, South America, South Asia, etc.)

Back during the Great Depression, and for years afterwards, we had lots of people whose growth was stunted due to poor nutrition. This not only stunted their height, but their muscles, too.

So, Americans whose families have lived here for genetrations really are getting larger, taller, stronger -
as well as the many who are also just getting obese.

Readers' Best Opening Lyrics: No. 11 (Spinner)

Mar 7th 2008 6:27PM Well, Jim, there is a good place for you in Atascadero, California, - the California institution for the criminally insane.
(Sarah Connor was there, too)
Have a nice time over there....

Texans Cheerleader Swimsuit Twins Confuse Sports Illustrated (Fanhouse NFL Blog)

Feb 17th 2008 2:43AM Your whole comments about "fake twin cheerleaders" is frankly very dopey! There's no better word for it. S.I. merely labeled ALL of the Houston Texans cheerleader's photos with Larisa & Marisa, plus a
number, for simplicity's sake. Just as long as at least one of them is in the photo, that is O.K.

What wouldn't be O.K. would be one labeled this way with neither one of them in it.

Also, if if you would open your eyes and close your complaining mouth, you would notice that there are some pictures labeled with Larisa & Marisa, but there is only one of them in it.

I do agree that it would be journalistly more accurate to label the picture with just the one name (just the correct one), but labeling
it with both names is par for the course in journalistic laziness nowadays. At least they were dealing with identical twins in this case....

BMI: the good, the bad and the ugly (Stylelist)

Sep 24th 2006 3:20PM The numbers above about Heidi Klum and Elle MacPherson have been completely and totally below the mark for decades, if they ever were true whenever. They have been up in the 20s for a long time, so don't publish nonsense. Did you realize that Elle wears a size 38D bra, and Heidi a 34C or a 36C ?? No fence-posts are they.

Would you let your baby wear a shirt with a "dirty" word on it? (ParentDish)

Sep 17th 2006 12:07PM People with sawdust for brains are missing the whole point. It is not some "freedom of speech" issue. The thing is a complaint against tasteless and rude manufacturers. They're the one with problems: if nobody produced the manure, then they would not be available for anyone to buy!! It is like putting actual cr*p onto the salad bar.
I am sure that the dimwits who do buy them have not the skill or inclination to make their own by embroidery or whatever. So, if they weren't manufactured, then not even the dimwit parents would have the opportunity to buy them.
So, focus your attention onto the ones who were being criticized for making and distributing them.

It is rather like setting up a shop with the sign (and the actuality) of "Get Your M-60 Machine Gun Here".
(In case you don't know, that is literally illegal in the U.S., and the courts have upheld those laws, and it is the law of the land.)
