Or did you mean to say that Britney was cast in stone and it is a sin without being totally honest?

Feb 24th 2007 9:10PM No, the people that pay these guys this kind of money DO have the right to require that they not engage in activities that put them at undue risk for injury.

By definition they are paid, "professional" athletes, under "contract". If they dont like the terms of the contract, they can say no. But if they sign, and take the money, they are legally obiligated to abide by the provisions of the contract. Pure, and simple.

A lot of these guys could buy small countries after they retire. If they want that country, they will have to put up with the provisions of the contract that allow them to earn that kind of money.

Nov 22nd 2006 1:01AM I'm thinkin Pete has a financial interest in the site he has plugged in to each area of this Black Friday sneek-peek article. Come on Editors, take the self-promoting crap off of here. We are talking about NICE stuff, Not the Web's answer to Spencer Gifts.

Faux Floozy Revealed (AOL Elections Blog)

Nov 9th 2006 6:52PM Its ONE political ad. Nothing more, nothing less. You could pick out anything, the weather, the news from a previous day, his campaign button colors, etc and say they made enough of a difference to determine the outcome of the election. Wholesale condemnation of a State, and the people that live there, says enough about the author(s) to wisk away any credibility about most anything else they have to say.

Wednesday political insight is akin to Monday Quarterbacks. They have the benefit of hindsight. But the source of their political knowledge is from shows like the Daily Show, and Oprah. Political pablum is easy to digest, and equally as easy to regurgitate.

Volkswagen strives to recapture affordable German engineering label (Autoblog)

Mar 16th 2006 11:20AM I personally like the new VW. Quality issues will be known in time, but I think VW has acknowledged some problems, and addressed them.

As with many others, I questioned the "upscale" marketing attempt, but I guess hindsight is 20/20.

The Toureg still rocks as the best buy in a true SUV, IMHO.

And I couldnt agree more with the comments about the personal advertising on here. IF the editors dont care enough to monitor this, and keep the crap like that off of here, then this blog will be doomed to read like the many cnet pages that are unsubscribed enmass daily.
