Inner City School Gets 100% of Its Black Men in to College (BV Black Spin)

Mar 13th 2010 7:47PM @ Susan --> You could definitely stand to improve your spelling and syntax, or maybe they didn't teach that in the high school you went to? Your attitude is another issue altogether, but hardly worth the effort to comment upon.

Rep. Peter King: Why Was Known Terror Suspect Allowed to Fly? (Politics Daily)

Dec 26th 2009 11:22AM Well!! Clearly, CHRISTmas is over and it's right back to business as usual, with the requisite name calling, faulty logic, generalizations, and so on. Woo HOO! Isn't there some kind of irony here, folks, those of you who stand up and call yourselves CHRISTians? Is it only for ONE DAY of the year? Or less? I notice some of these comments were probably typed yesterday in the full afterglow of opening a mountain of gotta have 'em gifts.... you know, to celebrate the birth of Christ. Isn't that how it was meant to be? Make the retailers happy and screw your neighbor?

Glenn Beck Set to Lose on His New Canaan Home - Not That He Needs the Money (Shelterpop)

Dec 19th 2009 11:38AM Uh... maybe some of you are ok with pretending that it was Obama who got us into this financial mess but the rest of us, and yes, I AM STILL a Republican, but even I know that the truth is that the 8 years of the BUSH administration took this country from a huge surplus to the biggest deficit ever, and it was the BUSH administration that put us on our knees to the Chinese. I might be a Republican but I can still think and I don't drink the KOOLAID and I can't argue with the people who say that the financial stuff started LONG before Obama came into office. It's like he moved into a house that needed major remodeling, and some of the people in MY PARTY are trying to make it into something he did wrong. Ha! No wonder this country is falling apart. When I was a kid, my neighbors were Democrats and we happily got along, cancelled each others' votes, but now, I'm supposed to join in with some really sinister finger pointing and outright lying? I don't think so. MY set of 10 Commandments says THOU SHALT NOT LIE. It makes us look so silly, too, and where we might be credible in some ways, the moderates in our party are being shouted down by these nutjobs. Yes, I called them nutjobs. Sorry, not MY kind or politics. I like respectful disagreement, and lately I'm seeing the exact opposite.

Dec 19th 2009 11:29AM Liberals are not real Americans. They should go somewhere else. Even if their man got elected this time, it will never happen again and they will rue the day they stood up against us, maybe they can go back to their own countries, Italy, Germany, Sweden, England, Spain, wherever their ancestors came from. Jesus was NOT a liberal, he was against abortion and against taking care of the poor and the sick and the hungry. Remember that during this CHRISTmas season when some bleeding heart liberal asks for a donation for some lazy poor person. Glenn Beck should be president.

Goldberg Shocks Hannity By Giving Obama Credit (Politics Daily)

Apr 15th 2009 12:57PM Hello PROUD REPUBLICAN - who is the liberal here? Hannity? Goldberg? Your comment makes no sense.

Trying to Cope with Anxiety? (AOL Hot Searches)

Apr 3rd 2009 5:13PM Hello -- Please inform yourself. If I hadn't just spent the last 4 months holding my friend's hand through horrific side-effects of a managed taper off EFFEXOR, one of the so-called non-addictive anti-depressants, I might just agree with your statement and go on with things. But that's just what we can't do. These new drugs, marketed directly to consumers by name, are much more sophisticated than the ones like valium that just produced a general sense of well-being.
Doctors would like us to believe that they are not addictive, but it's criminal, in my mind, what these drugs to do people. Oh, and my friend? Tried to go off this drug cold turkey and got so psychotic that she nearly succeeded in committing suicide.
So be careful, everyone, before you blithely step into this kind of treatment. In my mind, it's a hell of a lot easier to just deal with your issues than to deal with the horrors of some of these meds.

The Good, the Bad & the Fugly Gifts from a Guy (Lemondrop)

Dec 20th 2008 5:16PM DSM -- A little Bitter, perhaps? Not ALL women are like that DSM and anyway, what's with the 'free meal' part? Maybe you need to spend a little time with yourself, and get past that sadness instead of passing judgment like that.
I don't care who you are, male or female, ALL of us have at one time received a gift that made us go... HUH????

'Try This' - New Obama Ad (Politics Daily)

Oct 24th 2008 3:00PM Really, Ruby, get beyond the talking points. I assume you are ok with a policy that gives more money to the rich? Taken from the middle class? Go ahead and vote for McCain if you're a billionaire. If you're not, you'll be shooting yourself in the foot, except that the middle class is pretty much milked for everything they have already.

McPalin would just finish it all off and then, there will be no more middle class. NOT the kind of change we need.

WAKE UP AMERICA! ANother Republican voting for OBAMA '08

'Try This' - New Obama Ad (Politics Daily)

Oct 24th 2008 2:11PM Hey Donna! Thanks for what you said! I fully agree. We used to call those people SUNDAY CHRISTIANS. Other than that hour in church once a week, their lives resemble nothing like what Jesus taught. Too much lying, greed, adultery, you name it.

I had written that in my last post but for some reason it only put in the first part and I don't have time to re-write. I just wanted to point out to JimZac1 how lame his arguments were, simple reiterations of the republican talking points and endless attempts at character assassination, ignoring the real ISSUES OF THE DAY, all of which have served to drive many republicans, including me, AWAY from McCain this time around.

For once, I am going to feel really GOOD about my vote, when I pull the proverbial lever for OBAMA.

'Try This' - New Obama Ad (Politics Daily)

Oct 24th 2008 2:03PM --> this is to the comments made by JimZac1 [I thought intelligent people would reject any candidate who associated with loonies like Reverend Wright, terrorists like Bill Ayres, criminals like Franklin Raines and Tony Rezko, and hate mongers like Saul Alinsky and Louis Farrakhan. Possibly one or two casual acquaintances, but not a circle of close friends and a wife who was recently “ proud of America for the first time...” ]
