Vacant House Targeted by Squatters, Scammers and Thieves (AOL Real Estate)

Nov 11th 2011 7:45PM If you're in danger of foreclosure, I believe you shouldn't move out until you get a notice of Sheriff's sale, and then plan it so it isn't until the sale has taken place. I've known people who've lived in a place for several years before it went for Sheriff's sale & they could have saved themselves untold amounts in rent. (They might even be able to save up enough to buy the house at a lower price!) Absolutely nothing is impossible.

Top ten most crowded islands in the world (Gadling)

Jul 9th 2011 12:33PM I hate it when people report the Native Americans sold Manhattan for some beads etc. The NA's were laughing at the idiotic invaders who thought they were buying something that nobody owned. The land belonged to Creator, and the NA's understood it couldn't be sold by anyone but Creator. The beads and trinkets were a perk. It's sort of like buying and/or selling the Brooklyn Bridge in this day and age.

Paparazzi Shorts: Stars In Their Favorite Denim Cutoffs (Stylelist)

Jun 28th 2011 10:42AM Whereas women who are too big to wear cut-offs should refrain from doing so, women who are emaciated and look like concentration camp survivors also should not wear cut-offs! God they look gross!! I think cut-offs are sexy, but don't like the look of the pockets hanging out beneath the bottom of the cutoffs. If I want to keep the pockets & have really short cut-offs, I cut the bottom out of the pockets and run a seam across the shortened version. Takes about a minute. However, now that I'm 70, cut-0ffs of a slightly longer length are probably more proper, but only for legs conditioned by daily walks of at least a mile a day at not less than 2.5 mph for three years. Flabby legs should be concealed whenever possible.

The Surprising Strategy That Cleared My Acne (Stylelist)

May 15th 2011 12:28AM If you crave a certain food, eat it all the time and seriously stress about running out of it, consider eliminating it from your diet. It's probably the culprit. I switched from milk to Kefir. I am lactose intolerant. I make the Kefir myself from whole milk, and since I've begun drinking it, I've had no problems, my skin is clear, my digestion is amazing, and I'm losing weight with no change except for the Kefir. P.S. I'm 70, and I was getting zits on my wrinkles! No more zits, no more wrinkles. Expect to stay young and healthy. Expectation is the best medicine.

Mother Knows Best: Beauty Lessons From the Women in Our Lives (Stylelist)

May 8th 2011 11:16AM The best advice my Mom gave me: (1) Never say my kid wouldn't do that. (2) Never go to bed with your makeup on. my Grandmother said: (1) You're a lucky child to be born in America, (2) Be proud of being you. (My advice: Always wish for others what you wish for yourself (because what you wish for others is what you'll get.) And finally, for beautiful skin, I've used Vaseline Intensive Care as a moisturizer for 40 years. And finally, you stay young by expecting to do so.

What I Learned From 12 Hours As a Bombshell (MyDaily)

Mar 26th 2011 6:08PM Which picture is the bombshell? I didn't think either qualified!

Jamie Oliver Calls Sarah Palin a "Froot Loop" (That's Fit)

Mar 5th 2011 2:19PM Jamie Oliver is an idiot who's lost his good reputation through his own actions. Michelle Obama should look at herself in a 360 mirror before she dictates what everyone else should be eating. Racist? I don't care if she's purple with pink polka dots. She has no right telling us what to eat, nor should Oliver be bad-mouthing anyone...throwing rocks, glass houses etc.

7 Secret (Stupid!) Reasons We Have Sex With Someone (MyDaily)

Feb 18th 2011 11:17PM PS. I do wear red a lot. Still haven't seen a good explanation for the "sparks". That electricity that passes between two people when you know instantly that there is a strong attraction. Sometimes it results in more, and sometimes it results in a lifetime of wondering about it.

7 Secret (Stupid!) Reasons We Have Sex With Someone (MyDaily)

Feb 18th 2011 11:14PM okay, in my vast dating experience over XX years, I remember two incidents that happened. One I was at a country bar, music blaring, heading for the rest room. I neared the bar and had to squeeze by some guys, a guy I'd never met grabbed me by the shoulders, planted a kiss on me and we dated for five years. Another incident I arrived at a party sat down & within seconds a guy I had never met (in this lifetime) came up & sat on my lap and kissed me. We also dated a number of years. There was no logical reason for either attraction. (Now I think of it, they were both truckdrivers. Another non-logical reason for the attraction.

Everyday Icon: New Book Chronicles Michelle Obama's Style (Stylelist)

Feb 9th 2011 3:59PM The lady needs a 360 mirror. She needs to mind her own business about what we all eat and look at her own behind in the mirror. If she has a problem she should solve it without trying to legislate what we eat. She is a slob. If there's an improvement great, but she'll never look like Jackie O, and Barbara Bush had more class than this woman.
