Lara Stone is New Calvin Klein Ad Campaign Star (Stylelist (Main))

Jun 8th 2010 12:04AM OK, I am a little overweight, wear a size 12 or 14 . Or, as I like to say "underheight" since I am only 4'11'. I find it laughable that you thin women think we chubbies are jealous. I cannot speak for all, but I just am always amused at the fashion industry's demand for the super skinny and act like hiring a size 4 model is so amazing.

Melissa Etheridge Returns to Rock on 'Fearless Love' (Spinner)

Dec 19th 2009 9:18AM I have only one word for all the so-called "bible thumpers" who say their god is gonna get you some day: AGAPE

Swastikas Gift Wrap: Neither Merry nor Right (Holidash News)

Nov 16th 2009 7:38AM "...one man and one regime assigned it an image of evil that will never be erased from the minds of most modern people. And most of us are not sufficiently gifted with its history to make a distinction..." Thank you William, a voice of maturity and reason to counteract all the __________ (fill in your own thoughts here) who spew such ingnorant garbage in forums such as this.
I wonder how many of those defending the symbol would gladly have one cut into their foreheads as the Charles Manson clan did?

Video Interview: Stephen King on 'Under the Dome' (PopEater)

Oct 27th 2009 11:31AM Exactly!! Like many before me have said, his older books were so much better for this very reason. They were tighter, stuck to the subject at hand and forced the reader to make up in his/her mind the details. That's is why few of his books have translated to the screen. His words created psychological pictures that only the reader could see.
Now I find myself skimming long passages. I have said it's almost as if he's getting paid per word.

Kids Mistake Leopard Cub for New Pet Kitten (Pawnation OLD)

Oct 27th 2009 11:08AM In most places the people aren't as destitute as in poor areas of the southern US and Appalachia....

You should watch "Slumdog Millionaire."

The mother leopard was likely nearby and they were lucky to have not been attacked by her. If the cub was an orphan, unfortunately Nature would have dealt with it in the only way it could. And another creature's babies would have had a meal.

Author Urges Parents To Quit Hovering (ParentDish)

Oct 3rd 2009 10:47AM I rode my bike over 10 miles to watch a local dam being built. My Mom didn't have a clue!

Author Urges Parents To Quit Hovering (ParentDish)

Oct 3rd 2009 10:46AM I LOVE this woman!! So our kids break an arm, skin their knees or get a bad cut that needs stitches? This is the end of the world? I grew up in the 50's and 60's and my generation somehow survived with very little parental or governmental supervision.

Yes, we got hurt and sometimes had to make a run to the ER. Yes, we got the "bejeebers" scared out of us sometimes. Yes, there were dirty old men (I seriously do not think any more today than back then.... we just hear about them more.) lurking in alleys. I think we are so much stronger for having experienced the bad side of life at a young age and learned early how to overcome it.

Someone asked who these overprotective parents are? They are the ones who listened to the so-called "experts" who came along in the eighties and spouted all the psycho-babble about "fairness" and safety. They have lead to the decline of the modern child who have been raised as spoiled brats and who grew up with a sense of entitlement.

Obama Calls Kanye West a 'Jackass' (Politics Daily)

Sep 15th 2009 11:23AM Give me a break! If it's so hard for black people to attain their dreams they have nobody but themselves to blame. I'm sorry, but there are plenty black performers, business people, uh....our President, to whom people of color can look up to. Google Bill Cosby, one of the most successful black performers ever, and read what he has to say about you whiny babies. He tells it like it is!!! You could learn something from him. It ain't "The Man", Baby, who's holding you back, it's your own attitude.
Yes, I'm caucasian, but I got out of an almost ghetto and made it. Anyone can, you just got to stuff the "poor, pitiful me" mindset and prove to the world you can do anything you want.

Obama Calls Kanye West a 'Jackass' (Politics Daily)

Sep 15th 2009 11:09AM He was a jackass a few years ago when he stood on a stage and yelled "Bush doesn't like black people"! No one called him a jackass then... Sure they did! He was widely criticized for his remarks, by everyone...white, black and everywhre in between.

The Big Bang Theory: The Monopolar Expedition (season finale) (AOL TV)

May 12th 2009 12:06PM Anyone remember "Moonlighting" with Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd? Once Maddie and David consummated their realtionship the ratings tanked and the show was cancelled. Same thing. I'd vote for Penny getting another boy toy and Leonard to find another hot girlfriend to keep the tensions going.
