Grammys Best & Worst Dressed (AOL Music Blog)

Feb 14th 2011 4:23PM Adam Lambert was best dressed male, plus best new performer, best male vocal, best band and back-up! 'What Do You Want From Me' ... Best hit. Best videos. World wide acclaim. Adam Lambert Acoustic. Adam Lambert Stripped. Simply the best.

Garth Brooks Honored by President Obama (The Boot)

Apr 17th 2010 11:58AM Garth is one of my all time favorite singers, and Mr. President Barack Obama is my favorite president. No need to be afraid of change, this nation needs it. The truth matters. Facts count!

I think this is terrific to see them together! Time we get united in this United States on the things we do agree on ... good music, good health, good jobs, in a decent environment.

Alan Jackson Goes Hollywood (The Boot)

Mar 30th 2010 4:42PM A real legend in his own time, finally gets righteously recognized!

Congratulations, and the very best of wishes to you, yours, and theirs.

Renters Rejoice: Homeowners' Loss is Your Gain (Rented Spaces)

Feb 6th 2010 7:45PM Sometimes Sec. 8 folks are too ill to work a reg. job. Sometimes they have advanced degrees, but are too old to get hired. Sometimes the plant they worked at closed, and the local fast food is the only place left.

Not everyone that might need help is a crack head! Not sure if it is true in other places, but in my area, the process to get approved takes years, and home visits for quality is regular.

Morehouse Whiz Kid is Causing a Stir: 13-Year-Old Dominates College (BV Black Spin)

Jan 20th 2010 10:56AM "There are hundreds of thousands of Stephen Staffords out there who've been convinced by a culture of thuggery that they should do their best to hide their greatness."

Bottom line is belief, by the students, the parents, and the community, that our young folks are capable, when given the chance and the education necessary to succeed.

Michelle Obama Reaps Bonanza From White House Garden (Politics Daily)

Oct 31st 2009 1:47PM "So this is a bit of an overstatement: "For less than two hundred dollars, we have planted enough food to feed not just the folks at the White House, but we've also given a lot of food to some of our neighbors, and we're going to do that today."

Having had a personal family garden on a regular 1/8 acre lot, I found I was able to produce fruits, vegetables, and eggs ... for my family of 4 at the time, and both neighbors on each side, and the old lady across the street.

It can be done.

How 9/11 Conspiracy Poison Did in Van Jones (Politics Daily)

Sep 7th 2009 11:49AM "called for an investigation" 'into the truth' .... oooooooh, how scary!!!

In reality, a apple is an apple regardless of whether a Democrat, or Republican, is holding it. A tree is still a tree regardless if a lefty, or righty, is under it.

We should be able to agree that the ocean is wet, without confrontation, name calling, and death threats.

P.S. Don't want your children to listen to a message from the President of the United States? If that is so, it should also bother you if your child pledges allegiance to same country, and that the U. S. flag flies over the principals's office, and then, you know ... you had better get busy fund-raising in a hurry.

Being a 'public' school, in the first place, means the government, and the president, as the top leader, has the right of respect. Being that we live in this nation, and call ourselves citizens, we too by nature 'pledge allegiance' .. according to Webster:

"1. loyalty owed by a citizen to a government. "

(i.e., whatever president is legally elected and serving as head of that government)

Please have faith in your children, to use their own minds, and to tell you what the speech was about. You can watch it yourself, print out the transcript, and you can decide together what your family's personal beliefs are, explain freedom, and about how you plan to vote in 2012.

Simple. The truth will always matter, regardless of who calls for it.

Poll: Jon Stewart is America's Most Trusted Newsman (Politics Daily)

Jul 24th 2009 10:04AM If you want real concern about getting out the truth, you owe it to yourself to watch Rachel Maddow. It is very obvious she cares greatly about finding out what it really happening, and when she is proven wrong, she has no problem with a retraction. She is courteous to all, and is willing to give all sides a voice.

Jon Stewart does have an excellent record of getting to the point of things through his comedy as does Colbert. Good job guys!

Dick Cheney Gets the Gift of More Protection (Politics Daily)

Jul 22nd 2009 9:54AM Hopefully they are just making sure he doesn't flee the country to Dubai, or some such place, in order to avoid prosecution for war crimes. If our laws mean anything, accountability must start at the top.

No body should be above the law in America. We were manipulated into a war that did not need to be. Bin Laden became a side issue, while we squandered our children's lives, killed 100,000's of Iraqis, and spent an unbelievable amount of money ... money that could have helped America.
