Secrets of the debt-collection biz uncovered by a reporter (WalletPop)

Sep 14th 2010 1:23AM Most of the debt collectors hire trashy peopleffff who cant get a real job. The only thing that interests them is $$$$. They are able to rationalize everything they do, since they have rather lax moral values. Recently, I have been requested to pay up for debts incurred by someone with the same name as mine. When I politely inform them I am not the debtor, they sometimes feign ignorance (which is not hard for some of them) while pressing me for the cash. Some day they will anger someone just as morally corrupt as they are, and feuds will erupt.

FDA Fines Red Cross $16 Million for Blood Safety Violations (AOL Health)

Jun 18th 2010 5:55PM The reported shortcomings were what? The government got their money, but what were the violations, specifically? Such reporting does undermine the confidence in the American Red Cross. The International Committee of rhe Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies does not collect blood. This is enough to make Florence Nightingale roll over in her grave.

Battling Back, Home Builders Cut Options (Housingwatch)

Feb 14th 2010 7:09PM Government regulation increases prices while stifling competition. The established developers want to keep it this way. The lack of transparency opens the door to rampant corruption, which, of course, everyone will deny. This is why suburban dwellers are living in gussied-up cardboard boxes. It will get worse before it gets better.

Bono Earned Obama's Praise by Avoiding Bush's Hug (Spinner)

Jul 25th 2009 5:04AM Disrespect??? What does this word mean? Logically, everyone disrespects everyone to a degree. So we have a news article based on a personal disrespect between two people. Now we know that Bono did not care for the politics of Bush. I did learn that Obama noticed this. You do not have to go beyond the comments here to see vivid examples of anonymous disrespect for each other. Ignorance abounds.

Selling U.S. citizenship? Arizona hospital markets to Mexican mothers-to-be (Daily Finance)

Jul 11th 2009 2:04AM If people born in the USA were not granted citizenship based on birthplace, then we might have nationless people. Laws determine citizenship, and laws are made by humans. There is little ambiguity in the ways citizenship is granted now. Exploitation of the loopholes is tasteless but legal. Attempts to close the loopholes would create a veritable morass. Legality and morality are two different things, and it is difficult to legislate morality.

Supermodel Karen Mulder Arrested for Threatening Her Plastic Surgeon (Stylelist)

Jul 2nd 2009 11:10PM You can't run away from time. You can't cheat on mother nature. Anyone who tries to do this will soon see the folly. Plastic surgeons who promise the sky aren't real surgeons, they profit from vanity.

Hot Seat: Is Closing Gitmo Stupid? (Politics Daily)

Jan 22nd 2009 2:26PM How fricking stupid can one be? Interesting that Mississippi won the vote for stupid. May the stupidest one sling the first word. Besides, this is aol, who cares?
