AOL Straw Poll: April 28-May 5 {Political Machine Blog}
May 1st 2008 11:57AM Most of these comments are absurd. I believe I can make a difference in our present culture of corruption. Corruption is sedition and needs to be treated as such. If need be, we should begin vigilante enforcement as long as our justice system remains impotent to effectively stop this.
Mexican Attaché Attempts to Make Off With White House BlackBerrys {Switched.com}
Apr 27th 2008 6:23AM I wonder how much an unemployed attache makes,. What an arrogant idiot. Maybe the IRS will hire him.
AOL Straw Poll: April 14-21 {Political Machine Blog}
Apr 18th 2008 10:21PM All this fluff takes away from the real issue. Health care, war, economy and education are the real issues. The rest is just fluff. We need a health care system like the Japanese developed after WWII. We never belonged in Iraq or Afghanistan with so many troops. Look at other countries education systems and take the best features. The present administration has failed miserably. Our government needs to get back on track. We need to manage our own affairs before we go all over the world telling people what to do. It will take time to mend the fences.
Judge Rips Von A-Hole an A-Hole {TMZ}
Apr 18th 2008 9:20PM This is just another example of roulette justice, with no details at all reported. The system is open to graft and corruption since it is far from transparent, Who cares, anyway? I hope all crooked judges and lawyers get their just reward in the end. Too many lawsuits are being filed for frivolous reasons. This is because the world is full of arrogant and amoral people who have no idea of ethics or morals or playing fairly. We should have a lottery, with one of these publicly castigated every evening.
Eliot Spitzer Did What?! {News Bloggers}
Mar 11th 2008 11:37AM Probably Mr. Spitzer realized the folly of having illegal prostitution and was lured by its temptresses. Illegal prostitution only aids the criminals and does little to combat the associated social ills. Just another source of income for corrupt public officials. It also sells well to people with morbose curiosity in other people's sex lives. Mr. Spitzer should heed the advice of former Surgeon General Jocelyn Elders.
Are expired drugs safe? {That's Fit}
Oct 2nd 2007 2:58AM Some medications are OK for a long time after their expiration date. Some are not. I am a biochemist, so I usually know. When in doubt, don't do it.
Besides, the doctor usually gives enough, but we know that, once you feel well, many quit taking the medicine. Might as well save some for the next time, huh?? We could just allow most medications to be bought without a prescription, thus letting people bypass that pesky trip to the doctor. Most countries that allow antibiotics to be sold without seeing a physician sell more medicine and have greater mortality from infectious diseases. I wonder why.
Sweaty Man Electrocuted By PC - and Other Gadget-Related Deaths {Switched.com}
Aug 6th 2007 12:27AM I thought most PC's had some type of circuitry that limits shock hazard. Besides 380 volts has no business in a PC. Maybe the monitor. Sounds fishy to me. The chinese battery explosion sounds just as fishy. Vivid imaginations abound.
Top 10 Omega 3 food sources {That's Fit}
Jun 21st 2007 1:24PM I would believe more in Omega-3 if I knew the mechanism by which triglycerides and fats are lowered. Statistics can be misleading, but well-conducted scientific studies are invaluable. Bad science results in bad medicine which may be harmful at best. The average lay person cannot tell bad science from good science, thus needs competent help from reliable scientists.
Police Raids Over Jolie-Pitt Baby Shower {TMZ}
Jun 30th 2006 5:21AM I am certain that the FBI was brought into this to make it clear that they are concerned about people who might invade our privacy by making unauthorized downloads from our cameras. Some people tell me I have a sarcastic sense of humor, but most people don't say anything.
Dana Reeve: lung cancer takes life of elegant fighter {The Cancer Blog}
Mar 7th 2006 6:32PM If you are going to use statistics in your articles, you should first make sure they make sense. If ten percent of non-smoking women were to get lung cancer, this would be a national emergency. And, UP TO twenty percent could mean from zero to twenty percent, as they teach in ambiguous school.
