Jan 31st 2012 8:32PM Why does he owe his Mother a "free ride"? My Mother is ederly but she has screwed us kids out of our inheritance. She has gone through a million dollars and then some. Money that from her Father, my Grandfather thought would be left over for us. Now all the money is gone and she depnds on us kids even though she has no house payment and only electric and she has Social secruity and she rents 2 rooms out and she has rent the land out. All I get is my $6000 tax bill each year on my Bday. Do I hate her? No. Am taking her tomorrow for Dr's appt. Do I give her money yes sometimes but only a few dollars and only if it it needed for meds or food. Ohterwise she's got it a whole lot better than me. Also was offered 1.3 million for the place which she and all the kids own. She wanted a new house and a new car and $150,000 cash. My sister wouldn't sign cause she said it was worth more. Now we owe over $80,000 and with the economy couldn't sell it for $170,000. So do I hate my mother? No. I hate my sister. We all could have gotten something out of it besides tax bills. Never again 1.3 million. Was my Mom selfish? yes! But my sister was more selfish and I am left to deal with my Mother on 13 acres that is overgrown and a house that is over 58 years old. SO WHO KNOWS WHY HE DIDN'T PAY HIS MOM'S MORTGAGE?

That is what most Americans will be able to afford anyway in a month or 2 if not now. And oh America I am old wrinkled and 51 you better hope I can afford to buy clothes enough to cover me up. Jun 12th 2011 9:11AM Get used to it. With this economy it will continue. But I really think that the reference to Pompei is really stupid. Not in the article but in someone's comment. Think how many US cities in Kansas and Alabamba are not going to rebuild. Think About Katrina 9th ward. Sad People can't afford to rebuild. We wish we could but it isn't going to happen. Think Japan.! We can't expect to rebuild anything with the governments "empty" hope of help. Gulf oil spill? Where will we go from here. I have said my peace and I stand behind it. If you are in a crisis and you want your town rebuilt, do it yourself or leave because redcross nor the government is going to help. So sad Empty promisies

Jun 11th 2011 9:06AM Apparently this oldster doesn't have to clean the house take care of two young Grandkids, do laundry and clean the house, wash dishes, and take care of a spouse, and cook and do the yardwork. Sorry but that is all the "work out I Need"! The yardwork alone is enough to keep me in shape. I am so glad this person has nothing better to do. Me? Oh by the way I am 5'5 and 125 pounds. Guess it's because after I cook and do all my other chores I am almost too tired to eat!

Jun 9th 2011 10:06AM Sarah Palin stinks. She just needs a reality show not the presidency. But Elizabeth changes horses so many times that what she says is garbage. She is trying to act like she knows it all and when her "winners" fall through the cracks. as they alll have she starts making excuses why she wasn't right. Elizabeth, "Grow up" I'm 50 years old and I was for John Edwards. Not to the point you drove yours home. But when you're wrong be a big enough of a WOMAN to admit you were WRONG about SARAH and George...I know I was wrong about John but I admit it! You aren't right all of the time and we all get taken by cons.
