Bank Wrongly Seizes Home, Takes Parrot (Housingwatch)

Mar 13th 2010 3:54PM The larger banks got a sweet deal with this administration. They got bailed out of thier mess that they created, and are still able to treat all of us, who that money should have gone to, like dirt on the bottom of thier shoes.

There was an article recently in USA Today about how banks will continue foreclosing on properties, but they will hold them on their books so that when the retail segment comes back they will then turn around and sell them. How fortunate for them to not only get bailed out, but will, in the future get this money again when they do release the homes for sale. I wish I was a bank so that I can double dip like that as well.

A previous comment mentioned about the govt giving an incentive for banks to work with homeowners and to reorganize thier mortgages. There is something similiar to this already in place, but all that the banks did was create more paperwork, and allowed only a handfull of homeowners reorganize thier loans. This homeowners were tokens so that if the govt questioned the banks they can turn around and say well they have done what was asked, but due to the amount of paperwork they are behind. None of these banks will ever really work with anyone. Why should they they are making some good money on the interest rates. What other incentives will a loan shark take over such high return they are already getting?

Oh and another thing.....with all of these home foreclosed on your local govt is footing the bill for cutting the lawns and attempting to keep the property nice. Yet again our tax dollars are, as usual, helping the banks. The banks do not foot this bill we all bay this bill. I think the citys and towns should turn around and bill the banks for this upkeep.

'Southland' Sunk By Gun-Shy NBC (PopEater)

Oct 9th 2009 10:32AM This show was one of the shows I enjoyed on network tv. The Jay Leno show is awful, and from what I heard it has lost quiet a few viewers the first week, but NBC did not care about this at all. So on with the stupid reality shows, and the drone 'comedy' shows. Im really upset to see this show being dismissed.

Microsoft Asks for Cash Back From Laid-Off Workers (Switched)

Mar 15th 2009 10:04AM I had the same experience with another company. I immediatly notified them of thier error on a double payment they made to me as a severence. I received a phone call and a letter telling me that no they were right, and that the money is mine. 60 days later I was demanded to pay back the money that they overpaid me. They found their error and that I wrongfully kept the money knowing full well that they overpaid me. Talk about a kick in the teeth.

TV News Daily (Inside TV Blog)

Jan 14th 2009 7:14AM The only thing we are going to be left with are a buch of stupid reality shows, which are all scripted anyway. They are cheap to produce, and should Writers or Actors decide that they need to strike there is no worry of losing another season of shows. Why bother to get involved with a show anymore. The minute it becomes successful it is cancelled. I found that between Netflicks and returning to reading neither one of those can be cancelled.
