Feb 25th 2010 5:51PM I think $99 per year is a fair price for find my iphone on its own.

Is Microsoft Bouncing Back? (Switched)
Apr 17th 2009 1:12PM Actually I wold say that these ads are a step back.
The ones with the cute little kids effortlessly uploading, fixing, stitching photos together are genius. This is the kind of ad msft needs.
Macs have always had the tagline "they just work" whereas windows is known to be obtuse and overly complicated. The kid ads blow this conception out of the water whereas the newest ads show dorky teens and a very annoying mother, well, acting dumb and annoying.
Microsoft's new ad shows how people shop for computers in the real America (Engadget)
Mar 27th 2009 1:31PM You're all missing the point which is that this ad will not do as much for MS as the other ads where the cute little kids effortlessly takes pictures, stitch them together, improve them and share them - as if they were on a Mac.
Those ads were genius, especially the end where they say their name and say that they're a PC.
Macs do not compete on price, they compete on ease of use and the "it just works" mantra. For the mass public who only ever use their computers to store photos, read and write emails, and surf the net, ease of set up and use and freedom from hassles is what they want and the MAc had that reputation sewn up.
The kid ads show how easy it is to use PCs (whether this is true or not) and it is these ads that will change peoples' mindsets not this new price based one.
Full disclosure, I use an imac and powerbook at home.

Mar 4th 2009 12:31PM Italian blogger?
More like a British blogger currently living in Italy.
Anyway, coupla days ago I plugged my iphone into the USB jack to charge it and synch it. It buzzed as normal when the connection was established and I went to bed. Next morning it was very hot and the thing had not charged at all. Tried it again and it started charging and it cooled down.
Nothing wrong with the contacts in that they were not bent.
I am definitely going to go back and check now after this incident and the one posted by this "Italian blogger".

$350 10 MP still cam with 720p video recording and 5X zoom.
The zoom comes in really handy and you also get a great still cam.
How much will it cost to replace your 17-inch MacBook Pro battery? (TUAW.com)
Jan 13th 2009 5:25PM If you want your batteries to last you have to change your behaviour. There are limitations to batteries such that you have to fully charge and discharge them regularly. As you say if you do not discharge them enough then they will not last 300 cycles. If you do then they will.

VW IROC Concept unveiled! (Autoblog)
Aug 24th 2006 5:04PM Forgot to add:
At last VW are doing meaner looking head lamps instead of the fairground ride horse nostrils that seemed to be their new styling signature as I said here

VW IROC Concept unveiled! (Autoblog)
Aug 24th 2006 4:13PM Front is great, even down to the clamshell hood but the back end looks like the original design/concet sketches for the Golf 5.
By that I mean that initial design sketches always have bigger wheels, filled out arches, more extreme rake, look chopped etc and the sketches for the golf 5 looked awesome, much like the back end of this IROC. Of course the production versions are toned down but I can't help feeling that this should be the back end of the golf 6 and the IROC should keep the front but change the back somehow.
