Jan 6th 2010 4:18PM After Reading through a bunch of the comments here i decided to respond to yours... No one is saying this woman is fat they are being SARCASTIC... saying that Marie Claire is portraying her to be an "Average" woman... I'm sorry this woman is not fat, and she is DEFINATELY NOT average. and "average woman wears between sizes 6 and 12. IMO anything smaller without genetic predisposition or medical cause is nasty looking. Also anything larger is being overweight. Before I get flamed on- I consider myself overweight; I was a size 10 then I quit smoking and started eating (not the best idea) and am now a size 14- so yes this is coming from someone who considers themselves overweight. So flamers go for it- I'd rather see a size 8 model on the cover unairbrushed, and I think that's the point this author is trying to make. Not that we need "plus size" women on covers.

Dec 6th 2009 3:48AM What's funny is that people say smoking is the major cause of lung cancer, heart disease, etc... yet the true culprit is one NO ONE will admit. We are around it nearly 24/7, it releases the same toxic gasses which we inhale, but no one would dare admit it because it is the cornerstone of our economy. Yes people I am talking about cars. Don't get me wrong I do drive, I do own a car, I have nothing against cars- but to keep blaming horrible diseases on something that when you look at the big picture, the effects of are like that of an ant on a mountain, just seems idiotic. Cars pump out more of these harmful gases per second than the average smoker will inhale in 20 years. But to avoid hurting the world's biggest economic cornerstone, we will blame it on ciggs. I am an ex-smoker but I readily defend smokers' rights.

Mar 6th 2006 1:46PM Wow 10-20 for 1 tooth O.o... Our kids get 1 dollar- 2 if it is their first tooth lost. The tooth fairy tends to fall asleep early here also >.> but she always stops by the next day when the kids are at school :)
