Artists Stuff Dead Frog With a Computer (Switched)

Jul 28th 2007 12:50PM First of all, this is not new. This piece has been part of the "Cyborg Manifesto" for several years. This art movement is about the obsession of perfecting the body- creating the "cyborg" to make a social comment on our cultures obsession with personal evolution. Think of it as an extreme version of a bionic arm or leg. The image is supposed to be disturbing- it is supposed to make you uncomfortable- because the artist wants you to think about our obsession with technology.

The tooth fairy (ParentDish)

Mar 6th 2006 10:32AM I remember when I lost my first tooth- I had been wiggling it for days. My best friend Brandon had come over and was helping me extract the tooth. Finally, it came out, and he took me into the bathroom. We had a great idea- We would put the tooth back in, and then I would spit it out at my mother! (lovely little children we were!). While he was trying to put it back in, it fell into the sink! I was so crushed- tears began to flow and nothing could be done to console me.

I woke up to a great 5 bucks the next morning- which back then was quite a bit of money (got an action figure with money to spare!). Unfoutunately for my mother, 5 dollars became the standard.
