MySpace Bans 29,000 Sex Offenders (Switched)
Jul 25th 2007 3:36PM *them. . . . pretty much, parents should monitor their kids and the government should more closely monitor the activity of free, but known sex offenders (free, but known sex offenders. . . yeah, doesn't make sense to me either!!)
MySpace Bans 29,000 Sex Offenders (Switched)
Jul 25th 2007 3:33PM ugh, I can't stand how everyone keeps blaming myspace for everything. A lot of it is the parents, and they need to make their kids aware but you can't put the blame on the parents either b/c you know what kids are capable of, they'll do whatever behind their parents' backs. They need to be taught personal responsibility. Have you seen what 12, 13 and 14 yr old girls look like these days?!!! ANYWAY - They can make their page private so only friends see, they have the option to accept or deny a strange 40 something yr old guy when he friend requests them, and they don't have to post photos of them in bikinis and boots I mean c'mon, you're how old?! It's only ASKING for a creepy old dude to try and talk to them. I'm glad myspace is trying to do something to monitor the sex offenders, b/c obviously the government isn't. They're the ones who repeatedly let them out of jail, while they repeatedly commit the same crimes!!!! So who is REALLY to blame???? Putting them on a "list" somewhere doesn't stop them, so why should banning then from creating a myspace profile stop them either? Where there's a will, there's a way -- that's all I have to say.
Why men ignore their wives (That's Fit)
Feb 24th 2007 2:16PM HAHAHA!!!! Yeah, but if you initiate or tell him you want sex he won't disagree to that!!!!! That's just a lame excuse for it.
Is food more addictive than heroin? (That's Fit)
Feb 15th 2007 9:10AM I saw this show on either Discovery or TLC or something similiar to that, and they had brain scans to prove this. (It was actually a show about the half ton man) They side by side showed a brain scan of a normal person (which looked like one blob) then the brain scan of an alcoholic (which looked like two blobs) . . . they did the same thing w/someone on heroin, and also someone addicted to cocaine. . . all of the scans differed from a normal person's brain scan b/c instead of one blob they had two. Then they showed the brain scan of someone addicted to food, and it was the same as all of the other addicts. It's not funny. Some people eat when they're depressed (like an alcoholic would drink when they're unhappy, or a cokehead snorts a line to pick them up) it's all the same thing. And Sha brought up a VERY good point. It's even harder to control the addiction b/c you can't just all together STOP EATING. It's like here, you need this much but you're only gonna get this much. (like a detox) Donna also brought up a good point too. . . "Anorexia and bullemia have come to the public attention and been treated with some degree of acceptance, but the average food junkie is largely ignored." Anorexia and bullemia are actually a chemical imbalance. . . . so why is it so hard for people to believe that over eating/food addiction should be considered a problem too??

We want YOU for the bra strap police (Stylelist)
Jan 20th 2007 5:42PM I completely disagree w/showing your thong or underwear, it's just disgusting, but a bra strap? I mean c'mon, we all know sometimes it happens!! Of course don't wear a regular bra w/a halter, I DEFINITELY agree w/that too. Like Emily said, don't go out of your way to show it off, but if I'm wearing a certain tank top, you're gonna see my bra strap too!! And i'm not afraid to admit it, so long as it matches and I'm even wearing one. I'm not exactly that busty but I'm not flat either (small c), so i kinda need to wear a bra, contrary to popular belief that you only really need one if you're big busted.
**"I suppose if you're not very busty, then your bras don't take much of a beating, and a cheap one from Walmart or Target can last you just as long as any other kind...but some women actually have tits, and need some more support."***
hahahaha NOT TRUE VS SHOPPER!!!! and also, my damn overpriced 40something dollar bra from there (that i LOVED, i have to say) is all ripped up and I can't find it in the store anymore to get a new one!! It damn sure took a beating, it was my favorite. Victoria's Secret is nice, I love the stuff they have but most of it is so expensive, DOESN'T last and comes w/it's own tits!!
And regardless of size, EVERYONE should wear a bra unless you've got implants. . . they don't really move so you don't need the shaping/support and they pretty much look the same no matter what. I cannot wear a halter w/out a strapless or halter bra and don't think anyone else should either, unless like i said you have implants.
And what's with the bras these days coming w/their own set of boobs? I mean like, 2 inch padding and no exaggeration here!! I'm not big, but I'm not down for that false advertising either.
But there are a lot more things wrong w/the way the younger generation is than a visible bra strap, and asking famous people to conceal theirs to "set a good example" isn't making any kind of positive contribution to anything whatsoever. There are more important things to be looking out for and worrying about. . . What about tellin the celebs to gain some freakin weight?!! That'd be a good example b/c it's been known for the past 20 years that it has a negative effect on ALL females. (there are lab tests to prove it) Or owning up to their responsibilities and admitting they're in rehab b/c they've got eating disorders or they're on coke, and to encourage young girls NOT to be like that. It takes a certain kind of person to be able to admit it, and put out the right example. . they're so busy losing all their weight that the straps on the cute bras they have can't even stay on their shoulders!! Then they get $h*t for them showing. . . . . .these girls are looking at the celebrities and thinking they're too fat, so they probably would judge them on a bra strap too but for someone to compare themself or turn to a celebrity for every single thing is ridiculous!!! I fortunately weigh only 115lbs & I know I'm not fat (fitness freak!) but you can't see all my bones so I'm a hefer compared to them!! We shouldn't be worried about their bra straps showing, we should be worried about what ELSE these young girls are showing. These 12 and 13 yr old girls that look 20 have more issues than a revealing bra strap, and maybe that's something the celebrities should address instead of trying to put out a "good example" , to be sure to hide your bra strap!!! WEAR A BRA, BE COMFORTABLE, AND DO YOU!!
BTW! "And yes, there are more important issues in the world, but how about putting that energy into doing something about it instead of putting down people having a light discussion? Hmm?"
I think we all agree there are more important issues, people just like to diss eachother on here but i feel ya Elisa!!!! The whole point of this is for discussion.
Wow, I didn't think I could write that much on why it doesn't matter if a bra strap is showin, but I guess it's b/c it's so stupid!! What's next? Just remember that REAL GIRLS AREN'T PERFECT, AND PERFECT GIRLS AREN'T REAL.
