Flight Attendants Do Safety Video Dancing to Lady Gaga (AOL Travel News)

Oct 5th 2010 9:39AM Stupid. Totally stupid.
All the hornball men on the plane will ever remember in an emergency, is a dancing girl in a yellow lifejacket.

Desperately Seeking Helen Thomas? (AOL Hot Searches)

Jun 8th 2010 12:44PM I can tell that some who have commented on this page have no idea of the depth of what Helen Thomas - this now out-of-the-closet Lebanese anti-semitic, really said. Do some study and if at all possible take a visit to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. After that, read your Bible - particularly the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel, and the minor prophets. You will find scriptures that tell of God dispersing Jews all over the world - punishing them for their idolotry, and then bringing a remnant of the Jewish people back to Israel in the end times. If you think Israel becoming a nation again in 1948 is the end of the story, you'd better keep reading. That is only when the countdown began. The Bible prophets have been right-on so far and tell of much trouble ahead, more than has ever been seen on the Earth before. Israel is going to continue to face persecution from nations who want to destroy it. People like Helen Thomas prove that. There are battles coming that are so horrific one cannot believe the words. Then there will be one last one to end all wars. The Bible even says it will take 7 years to bury all the dead bodies. I am not Jewish, but a Christian Zionist - and I know what lies ahead. Helen Thomas just displayed a little glimmer of it.

We Tried It: The Baby Food Diet (That's Fit)

Apr 17th 2010 9:24AM I remember many years ago when I got in a checkout lane at the grocery store, only to see one of my old elementary school teachers in front of me. I looked to see what she was buying, and was surprised that it was all baby food. She turned around and saw me and seemed quite embarrased. Her blush made me realize that she probably had teeth problems. I think some older folks have bought baby food in past years too, because they thought it would be cheaper.

Barbara Walters Says Paula Deen Makes Kids Fat (ParentDish)

Sep 25th 2009 8:18AM Paula's recipes are the same I was brought up on, and we always had to struggle with our weight because we loved those buttererd/honey-filled cathead biscuits, cakes and pies, and everything that was Southern, yummy and comforting. I have to think that Barbara rightly called Paula on this one - that her recipes for children should be more nutritionally sound and not based on sugar, high fat content (such as the chicken parmesan), and high in calories. Everyone knows that muffins are a quick substitute, but they use processed flour, sugar and other ingredients that aren't good.
A good breakfast for kids is oatmeal made with 2% milk, using Splenda, Stevia or honey, with a slice of oatmeal or wheat bread. But that won't sell a cookbook, will it? You were right Barbara, don't back up. I agree with previous writers - look at her and her husband - they look like walking heart attacks.

Rick Warren Gets Tepid Response (Politics Daily)

Jan 20th 2009 3:29PM Can't we come together in the spirit we all witnessed at Obama's inauguration, and try to be peaceful and see the good and not bad-real or imagined- in everyone? I thought Rev. Warren's prayer was very touching, and equal. My biggest cheer for him is that he offered that prayer to the real God, so that the blessing he asked for could really be granted upon Pres. Obama, his family, our leaders and this nation. As John Lennon sang: GIVE PEACE A CHANCE. Stop all the snarling and hate spews on this board, okay? It doesn't make for pleasant reading.

'Us' Readers Protective of Palin (Politics Daily)

Sep 7th 2008 11:31AM Frankly, I don't see where we have much choice in this election. I don't want or trust either candidate or their running mates - all are proven liars. We voters are in a complex situation. We don't have anyone we can really vote FOR, the best we can do is to choose which one too vote AGAINST. It's a sorry state of affairs. Too bad Ron Paul didn't have a chance.

GOP Convention Bounce Showing Up Early (Politics Daily)

Sep 6th 2008 4:38PM Has anyone noticed the TV programs on today? (Saturday). I kept flipping through and found show after show, even movies - about Alaska! Now what does that tell you? I bet the travel agencies around the country are getting calls to book trips to the Frontier state. Even if Palin and McCain lose the election, her candidacy for VP is going to bring tourist dollars and renewed interest in the state for sure. It won't surprise me if they bring back the "Men in Trees" show which they cancelled at the end of last year's season and also show reruns of Northern Exposure on cable. Looks like Alaska is going to be the newest thing, at least for awhile! If McCain and Palin win, "North to Alaska" will become a new slogan.

Romney's VP Prospects Surge (Politics Daily)

Jul 22nd 2008 11:00PM Voters considering McCain for President are going to look very hard at who is there to step in if McCain takes ill or dies, because of his health and age.
I am a Florida voter who changed parties in order to vote for Hillary. But because I didn't do it in time for the primaries, I had to vote Republican afterall. Well, Romney is who I chose.
Huckabee has the same problem as Romney -religion. Huckabee is too far right for a lot of voters, even right wing Republicans. Romney may be a Mormon, but he is so articulate, attractive and seems to have answers about everything. He's very Presidential! attractive First Lady since Jackie Kennedy.
I think Romney would be a great asset to McCain and ir might give him a running chance against Obama, especially if he lets Romney do alot of the talking.
