A Message From the AOL.com Team (Portalblog)

Dec 21st 2012 9:23AM It's not the guns. It's the loonies. We need to focus our efforts on the mentally unstable. The CT shooter was a poster child for mental illness. Why was he not already being treated or kept in a safe environment where he couldn't get his hands on ANYTHING that might be dangerous in the wrong hands (i.e. not only guns but also car keys, matches, power tools, knives, rope, etc.)?

The theatre shooters? The Clackamas shooter? Gabby Giffords' shooter? All mental cases. Sure, they might not have killed as many people if they didn't have guns, but they got their guns illegally in most cases anyway. And, do you really want people like them out wandering around in public - with or without guns?

I don't.

Police Can Install Hidden Cameras on Private Property Without a Warrant, Judge Rules (AOL Real Estate)

Nov 5th 2012 12:37PM Of course, the police have no "reasonable expectation" that if their cameras are discovered they will remain intact. As a property owner, I have no duty to protect the personal property that someone leaves on my real property without my consent or approval.

Mezuzah Case: Condo Association Bylaw vs. Jewish Practice (AOL Real Estate)

Mar 29th 2012 5:34PM This is why I'll never live in a condo or community with restrictive covenants and a homeowners association. Too many fascists and just plain idiots running those little cliques.

BandFuse: Rock Legends attempts a music game with real guitars ... again (Joystiq)

Feb 22nd 2012 10:50PM For a review of Rocksmith by a an actual musician instead of a pasty-faced video game reviewer, check out

http://myrocksmithjourney.blogspot.com/2012/01/rocksmith-review-by-drummer.html

Pretty obvious that this "review" is nothing more than paid shilling for a product that - by the reviewer's own admission - doesn't even exist yet. Even if this product does everything it's touted to do, it doesn't sound all that great.

MLK, USA: Many King Streets Stuck on Economic Outskirts (AOL Real Estate)

Jan 18th 2012 11:02AM The entire premise of this article is ridiculous. These streets were generally in, let's face it, black neighborhoods when they were renamed with the MLK, Jr. moniker. Of course renaming the street didn't cause an economic downturn; the areas were often slums before renaming the street. It was absurd to think that renaming the street would somehow energize some sort of urban renewal along these streets.

Boston Harbor "Shutter Island" Under Construction (AOL Travel News)

Feb 20th 2011 10:51PM Believe me, if anyone hates AOL, I do. But, I did enjoy this article - I love movie locations and old places like this. I had no idea where they filmed the movie, no idea about the islands in the Boston Harbor, and no prior knowledge of Ft. Andrews, so while it probably won't win any Pulitzers for journalistic excellence it was a helluva lot more interesting and informative than some of the stuff on here. . .

Should Parents Sweat Over Their Kids Doing Hot Yoga? (ParentDish)

Feb 20th 2011 10:44PM Come down here in the summer - EVERYTHING you do is HOT. Personally, I can stretch just fine out in my driveway for free. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter.

How to Replace Seven Vital Documents (WalletPop)

Feb 11th 2011 9:24AM Let me get this straight. The guy steals your identity, your house keys, and a bunch of your financial stuff then threatens to kill you. You move and never report him? A little late to fix the first mistake - letting the guy in to start with. But, uh. . . I think I'd not only be reporting him but hunting him down with a fairly large-caliber pistol.

Prevén polémica votación sobre indocumentados en Arizona (AOL Noticias)

Feb 10th 2011 11:06PM Nah. But I might like her.

Exactly. It's coming. Believe me. It's coming. The citizens of this country have had enough of people like you (I don't mean hispanic - I mean opportunists who flaunt our laws for their personal gain). We want you out and we are prepared to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Una enmienda constitucianal would be pretty tame compared to what a lot of people would like to see happening. . . Nice try on the Dred Scott thing, by the way, but you're wrong. Your misinterpretation is just proof that there's a loophole that we need to fix. And we will.
