Honda CEO: People will embrace fuel cells when they realize battery limits (Autoblog Green)
Oct 24th 2009 4:01PM Not exactly what I meant is that when you are low on hydrogen you can simply go to a hydrogen pump and fill up in about 30 secs just like cars today. Not saying that Electric cars will not be successful. Its just that for a vast majority of the charge factor will keep people away. In addition with ICE cars and hydrogen cars you need to gas up about once a week (on average). I guess if the battery powered car has to be successful they have to come out with battery powered cars that will charge fast and hold charge for a week;s worth of driving. My personal feeling is that battery cars should have better range than the best hybrids.

Oct 23rd 2009 2:43PM The only reason I don't like battery powered vehicles is because of the charge factor. Remember not everyone lives in homes, a vast majority of us live in Apartments, park in car ports and go to work and park at massive open air parking lots with no access to a powerport we can leave our cars plugged into. Non of which affords us a place to charge our cars.
Hydrogen car like today's ICE cars wont have that problem. when you run low you simply get more "gas" from a pump.
WaPo blogger wants to buy Camaro, gets dealer runaround instead (Autoblog)
Jul 21st 2009 8:08PM And Why not? If Im going to buy a car from a company that is fresh out of bankruptcy with a history of shoddy cars I expect to get a test drive. Ive test driven $40,000 G coupes and BMW 5 series. The camaro is nice looking not an M3 that ill need deposit to test drive. What rock are you living under?
The attitude might work with a Ferrari or even a Corvette ZR-1 but certainly not a car that starts at the same base as a Hyundai Genesis.

May 23rd 2008 11:58AM Maybe not exactly 2 billion customers but China is already the 2nd largest market for cars(I think) behind the United States and India cat ownership is getting double digit growths.
An Interesting point about India though is most people dont drive more than a few miles. a day Inter City Commute within a urban area (Such as My commute from Fremont to San Jose, a 30 mile one way trip) is unheard of In India and Id suspect its the same In China so even higher gas prices might not deter them.
Mazda survey reveals pricing and packages for Mazda6 (Autoblog)
May 8th 2008 10:50PM They used to have that one. The old V6 was 220 HP with the same MPG so Now you get like 50 extra HP for the almost same mileage. Im not sure how much better they can do.
They are Ford after all.
this new sedan looks awesome and Im sure it'll sell like hot-cakes.
LA Times' Dan Neil bumped from NBC Gear (Autoblog)
Apr 10th 2008 4:34PM While I agree that Top Gear America will suck I dont think Honesty is the problem. Top gear is simply based on the opinions of its presenters. The show is amazing is not the "honesty" of its opinion. MotorWeek could have brutally honest opinion but that wont keep you awake past the credits.
TopGear is amazing cause Clarkson dosent just say he dosent like Korean Cars, He simply devours them. He makes fun of the Prius and does a incredibly biased and pointless review not cause its not a good car but simply because he couldnt care a Rat's ass about it.
So simply honesty wont save american TopGear. You simply need over the top people like Clarkson and Hammond and Captain Slow. You also need an incredibly good show. Top gear is simply pure entertainment. As they say you dont have to love cars to watch the show.
