Android launcher showdown: LauncherPro, ADW, Zeam, GO Launcher and QuickDesk (Download Squad)

Mar 2nd 2011 12:44AM The one thing I really didn't like about Go is grabbing an icon from the drawer and putting it on the home screen... I get WHY they did it so you could move it to any of the number of screens you have, but it was the deal breaker for me (folders are the BEST with Go - just as sexy as MIUI)... Zeam has been the most stable of all the phones I've had it on (Hero, Moment, Transform and EVO). Launcher Pro gets weighed down a lot... I'm using ADW now (I like hiding apps in drawer, Launcher Pro does this as well) but still keep missing Zeam.

Verizon responds to AT&T's Map For That lawsuit: 'the truth hurts' (Engadget)

Nov 17th 2009 12:30AM and the funny part is that verizon and sprint both had a larger 3G footprint than at&t when at&t and apple started advertising 3G and making it all sound cool, well, they are getting what they deserve... they started the 3G thing so they should accept their place as third in 3G.

Cellular South scoops up Sprint-spec Hero (Engadget Mobile)

Sprint temporarily loses its mind, wants $250 for Samsung Instinct HD (Engadget)

Sep 24th 2009 12:13PM On sprints higher end phones, the subsidy isn't as high because their plans are the best in the country. Emgadget has temporarily lost their minds by not rationalizing this in their post. But it doesn't surprise me.

FCC chairman formally proposes net neutrality rules (Engadget)

Sep 21st 2009 3:11PM good in theory, bad in practice. there needs to be some sort of smart filtering to prevent torrent traffic from eating up bandwidth. also, most of the dumbasses supporting this fail to realize that only the government is the only ones that are going to benefit for this, not consumers. they control the bandwidth, they sell the bandwidth... so by forcing providers to do this, they are going to sell more bandwidth. it's that simple. and with engadget being owned by aol it would seem that engadget would support a way to make things more efficient, not putting a strain on providers.

AT&T's 3G MicroCell does unlimited calling, but it ain't cheap (Engadget)

Sep 20th 2009 8:28PM wow... so i guess this solidifies that at&t upper management really has no clue. at&t really has no competitive edge except the iphone. funny how crappy the company has turned given the deep pockets could have made them the best... but the ceo that brought at&t back together was hand picked to run GM... i guess in a few years they will have crappier cars than kia. at&t has a heritage of effing things up.
