London's W Hotel Snaps Photos of Environment, Screens Them On Its Skin

Cameras mounted on the hotel's roof record the surrounding landscape. A software program then converts the images into panoramas, compresses the finished shot into video, and remodels the footage into a light show. 600 lights across the building's facade play the converted "scenes" throughout the course of the day and night. Because the sequence is dictated by realtime images, passersby are treated to a wholly unique image at any given moment. But enough with the words -- check out the video after the break.
