Ordinarily, we'd be wary of
yet another bookmarking site, but since anything Jason Kottke touches
turns into gold, we're giddy about
the announcement of Stellar. From the little we've seen, his social bookmarking site looks like a way to quickly share or save a range of content; a personal aggregator, if you will. As the site
puts it:"If you like dorking around on Twitter or blogs or whatever, you'll probably enjoy Stellar."
Stellar.io is being rolled out in invite-only mode (Kottke cautions "I'm letting people in reeeeally sloooowly"), but you can reserve a username
here. Alas, if your name happens to be Anil Dash, you're
out of luck.

Invites are closed:
"Sorry, I've closed the invite/username request form for now. I need to focus on fixing a few bugs and tuning the system. I hope to have this back up soon. Thanks!"

Steller looks interesting. Social Bookmarking may be making a come back now that Yahoo is selling delicious. One site that I us is called ocell.us (http://ocell.us). Ocell.us is a social bookmarking site that let's you bookmark links from twitter and has some other cool features. Perhaps the most interest feature that it has is the ability to view what people that are in your local area are bookmarking. I've never seen a social bookmarking site do that and it makes a lot of the links a more relevant, while reducing spam. It will be interesting to see how services like these pan out in the next few years.
