The Flaming Lips Release New Song, Divided Into 12 YouTube Videos
Yesterday, the band released "Two Blobs Fucking," a song that's divided into 12 separate YouTube clips meant to be played at the same time. Sounds like a pretty cumbersome way to hear music, but the Lips claim that their technique only enhances the listening experience. "The more devices, the more harmonic possibilities can be constructed," the group explained, in a press release. "You and your device, at one with the music, become the orchestra, just as the Gods of Technology naturally intended it to be."
To become one with the Flaming Lips' new track, get 11 of your friends (and their devices) in the same room, head over to the band's YouTube channel, and press play.
