Groupon Courts Controversy With 'Offensive' Tibet, Rain Forest Ads
If you watched the game last night, you may have witnessed many affronts to good taste, including Timothy Hutton shilling Tibetan food for Groupon. Hutton explains, "The people of Tibet are in trouble. Their very culture is in jeopardy... but they still whip up an amazing fish curry!" Fortunately, the push was to announce Groupon's intent to make donations to sites like Greenpeace and The Tibet Fund -- which it could have pointed out before we canceled our accounts.
