Foodily Lets You Share Recipes, Menus on Facebook

Our grandparents and parents kept their recipes written on index cards, but when we need to plan a meal, there are thousands of easily accessible recipes indexed online. Honestly, it's overwhelming to browse them -- let alone, to decide on a menu.

But Foodily, a new site that aggregates recipes from all over the Web, aims to make planning a meal easier with Facebook integration and an intuitive search engine. According to TechCrunch, recipes you and your friends "like" on Foodily will show up on the Facebook News Feed and in Foodily searches. In addition, you can create Facebook events with menus culled from Foodily, so you and your friends can discuss, and plan for, dinner parties and potlucks accordingly. You can search Foodily's recipe database by individual ingredient (with the option to leave out specific ingredients, too), which makes finding the perfect dish much quicker. The site displays search results in a clean, horizontal format, which makes it easier to compare recipes using the accompanying pictures and ratings. Most of all, it's the Facebook integration that gives Foodily the edge on other recipe sites. By giving foodies a popular place to share menus, Foodily has made planning a dinner party much easier.
