On last night's 'Colbert Report,' Stephen Colbert
sat down with Sherry Turkle, an MIT professor who recently wrote a book about
the devastating effects that technology has had on the human race. Throughout the interview, Turkle tirelessly argues that things like social networking and text messaging are turning us into alienated, soulless automatons. And, as he always does, Colbert deftly
shoots her down, one witticism at a time, before triumphantly calling upon us to "cut the apron strings and soar" on the wings of technology. We may have shed a tear or two.
[Ed. Note: Not all of us. Go Turkle!] See the interview after the break.
