Robocall Victim Turns to Robocall Company for Vengeance

aaron titusPerhaps calling Aaron Titus a hero is a bit overzealous. But it's hard for us to think of another word when describing this Maryland man, who recently got some well-deserved revenge on his local school board. At 4:30 one recent morning, Titus received a robocall, courtesy of the board, to inform him that schools would be opening two hours late. (Titus claims that he was already made aware of the late opening the previous evening.) The irritated parent decided to return the favor by hiring a robocall company to dial several members of Prince George County School Board at 4:30 a.m., and deliver the following message:
"This is a Prince George's County School District parent, calling to thank you for the robocall yesterday at 4:30 in the morning. I decided to return the favor. While I know the school district wanted to ensure I drop my child off two hours late on a snow day, I already knew that before I went to bed. I hope this call demonstrates why a 4:30 a.m. call does more to annoy than to inform.... Quit robocalling parents at 4:30 in the morning, or at least allow us to opt out of these intrusive calls."
We're sure many of you envision extracting a much more extreme (and perhaps violent) revenge for being awoken from your slumber to be told you could sleep late, but Aaron's vengeance is far more appropriate. Now, if only he could do the same to all the robocallers we get asking us if we want to lower our interest rate, extend our car warranty, or have our carpets cleaned...
