The Vyne Lets You Embarrass Yourself and Wear Your iPhone

We're not sure who would want to wear their iPhone -- or, for what reason -- but the company behind the Vyne figures that there must be someone out there who wants to do it. The Vyne is a flexible plastic strap with a clip on the end for holding your iPhone or iPod touch. Bend the plastic strap to fit around something -- like, say, your neck or a favorite household pet -- and you can relax and watch videos on your mobile device without holding it in your hands. (Alternatively, you could always just get a stand, which lets you go hands-free and isn't nearly as embarrassing.) No word on pricing or release date.

Laugh all you want. My hand gets cramped and sore holding my iPod Touch to watch a movie or surf the internet. It seems like a logical idea.

If AOL, which is obsessed with everything Apple, thinks this thing is embarrassing, that tells you something. But then again, Apple fanboys will love it. So, yes, I will laugh all I want. Anybody wearing this thing will look like a complete tool. My hands don't get tired watching a movie, of course that's because I watch them on a giant HDTV, not a phone.

I remember decades ago NY State Dept of Motor Vehicles had a public service ad which pointed out that, "When your eyes leave the road you are looking for trouble." Thanks to 21st century technology trouble now comes looking for you!

Awesome! Now thieves, muggers, and would-be pickpocketers have easy access to your iphone. No need to bother with all the fuss and muss a usual theft requires.
