Here's the news: The entire 'Star Wars' saga is being released on Blu-Ray, and you can buy the entire thing for $139.99, or just the prequels/sequels for $69.99 each. It comes out in September and includes over 30 hours of unreleased footage, yadda yadda. But why would you care? You don't, because this is the version where Greedo shoots first and the
"Lion King" soundtrack replaces the beloved
"Yub Nub" song. So, you know, whatever.

This is great news... I've already pre-ordered and am glad for the opportunity to be able to see these films in HD. I love the special editions (though a few parts of it grate on me, like Han and the new dance number in Jabba's palace) but the rest of them, and the prequels are masterpieces and I'm dying of excitement.
Your ambivalence is disappointing.

@Bryan Young You are right. We are a little ambivalent. But you know what: It IS grating? Why can't they update it without getting all namby pamby?
Alas.
