The
Samsung D8000 is the company's new top-of-the-line TV, and it's a
stunner. It's a miraculously thin, Internet-connected, 3-D, LED-backlit piece of beauty. It even comes with a touchscreen remote that lets you watch video and check your social networking accounts. But the most impressive things about the D8000 are the incredible viewing angles (the picture being almost perfect even from the sides), and the 0.2-inch bezel, which practically disappears when the TV is turned on. Samsung hasn't announced a release date or a price, but you can be sure it won't be cheap. Check out the video below.

@Harvey: Do you really think the spammers stop back to see who has replied to their seagull droppings? Report the comment, don't reply to it.

It look s great, but Im not crazy about the gold thim.
Mark EscheJan 7th 2011 10:53AM
@masonshome yeah, gold thims are so . . .mispelled
HanhJan 8th 2011 10:43AM
@masonshome That TV definitely has silver trim. It only looks gold because of the yellow lights hitting it.

@Harvey YES its annoying and whats even more annoying is the jerks running these boards DONT ever remove them....can you say kickback?
bugaloosnanaJan 7th 2011 11:05AM
I agree, I think they should have stuck with basic black for the trim. Anyway, I just went what I consider to be high tech and bought a 46" flat screen HDTV last year so I won't be buying another any time soon. Seems just when you think you've gotten the best there is, something better comes along. Technology is moving way too fast!

I agree Tech is moving to fast for anyone to really keep up,, Plus the cost factor is getting rediculous.
For whats on TV I prefer a 42" plasma I just bought, and will probably keep for at least 10 Yrs

Yeah, Mark, you brainiac...and misspelled is so often mispelled (sic)
tomgula3Jan 7th 2011 12:43PM

where are the speakers?

If I had designed the frame I would have used clear poly carbonate that would have reflected the same colors on the screen therefore always changing and still protective of the edges. It's the same plastic as bullet proof windows are made of. Or, just us acrylic plastic but I think that might be too cheap and break.
"Anywho", it's a nice TV screen and blends into the space it occupies.
I am looking forward to the new "flexible" screens that will be here soon that you can roll out and put anywhere. And when they perfect them even better you will be wearing them as clothes that change color and pattern. YOU could be a walking designer billboard! Oh man, heavy stuff!! Look OUT,! I’m gonna sing!!!
“There'll be spandex jackets one for everyone……..
What a beautiful world this will be…..
What a glorious time to be free……”
Hey, I used to know a lady by the name of Pelled. I called her "Miss Pelled". I was a teacher back then and she was in my literature class. Everyday when I used to call on her I would say "Miss Pelled"! and someone in the class would say, "What!!??" EVERYDAY!!!!
What a gas baby! It's a weird, wild, and wacky world out there but someone's gotta report it!
Later, techno geeks of "Geekdom"!
By the way, according to the "Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle", one never knows exactly anything, does he??????????????
