Dmitry Medvedev, Arnold Schwarzenegger Plan Romantic Getaway on Twitter

There's a budding (and utterly bizarre) romance brewing on Twitter, between Russian president Dmitry Medvedev and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. It all began in June, when Medvedev traveled to Silicon Valley, and locked eyes with the Governator for the first time. With his heart a-fluttering, the president flirtatiously winked at his new BFF, and even quoted the famous "I'll be back" catchphrase from 'The Terminator' -- the diplomatic equivalent of eyelash batting.

Since then, the two have stayed in touch via Twitter, where they occasionally exchange mushy, "No-I-love-you-more" tweets. In October, Schwarzenegger even posted a picture of himself lifting weights with Medvedev, during the ex-governor's trip to Russia. On Tuesday, though, their relationship may have reached that vaunted 'Next Level': vacation.

"I hope you're having a great new year, and can't wait to see you again -- maybe skiing?", Schwarzenegger tweeted today. "We agreed -- I remember. We'll definitely find the time," Medvedev responded. Probably not the animated response Schwarzenegger was hoping for, but maybe Medvedev's simply playing hard-to-get. He is, after all, the president of Russia, where semi-slutty over-enthusiasm could be considered out of line.

And besides, he said he remembers! He even used the word "definitely"! He's interested! It may seem like a big step, but with a little more perseverance on Arnold's part, these lovebirds may even set up their own joint Twitter account by the end of the year. Unless, of course, "skiing" is just code for "plotting to take over the world together." Which, now that we think about it, is entirely likely.
