An Open Letter From Woz to the FCC

steve wozniak
Yesterday, the FCC voted to pass new Net neutrality regulations. Understandably, everyone has an opinion on the outcome (and almost no one is happy). Now Steve Wozniak, one of the most high-profile voices in the tech world, has weighed in with an open letter, published in The Atlantic. The mildly scatter-brained missive calls on the FCC to take action to enshrine Net neutrality as law, and to protect digital content from being interfered with by ISPs. Woz careens from tales about telephone and cable company monopolies to extolling the virtues of our public roads, and remarking that the FCC is one of the few government agencies still looking out for "the people."

Woz doesn't really offer a new take on the debate, but it's worth reading (if only for the story about how he essentially had to create his own cable company in his garage). Check out the entire letter here.
