EA Taking Madden (and Its Curse) to the Movies
The infamous "Madden Curse" has plagued scores of legendary gridiron heroes. In what may be the most asinine Hollywood video game-inspired movie idea yet (and it's that bad.), someone at EA apparently wants to translate the urban legend cover-jinx into a fictional feature film. Specific details concerning the plot remain sketchy, but EA VP Pat O'Brien reportedly said, "The story will follow a former 'Madden' video game champion who is forced out of retirement just as he finds himself on the corner of the game's cover -- and subject to the curse."So, a legendary video game champion is thrust -- by forces outside of his control -- into a precarious situation after he accomplishes a long-awaited milestone? Hmmm. That sounds vaguely familiar.

Is this going to be a rocky type sports movie full of "eye of the tiger" or a creepy married guy who hits on massage therapists "bow chika bow bow"?
