Julian Assange to Publish His Totally Transparent Memoirs
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange wants everyone to know everything about their governments. And apparently, he wants the world to know everything about Julian Assange, too. According to the Guardian, the 39-year-old Australian has sold his memoirs to a pair of publishing houses, and is expected to have a manuscript ready by March. In true WikiLeaks fashion, the news leaked via a recent tweet from the Spanish publisher Random House Mondadori, which stated, "Manuscrito listo en marzo." (Translation: "Manuscript ready in March.") The book will reportedly be published by Canongate in Britain, and by Random House subsidiary Knopf in the U.S. Canongate confirmed the deal in an e-mail to Daily Finance, but a spokesman for Random House said the company had no information about a forthcoming memoir.
By March, of course, the world may be suffering from Julian Assange overload (if it isn't already). But, if his life story is anywhere near as enthralling as his alleged OKCupid profile, we'd be first in line to buy it.
