Al Franken thinks Net neutrality is "
the most important free speech issue of our time," and he seems determined to fight for it. On Saturday, the Democratic senator delivered a blistering floor
speech, in which he criticized the new online regulations proposed by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski. On Tuesday, the FCC will vote on both the regulations and a proposed merger between NBC and Comcast. Franken thinks the proposal will only hurt Internet freedom and innovation -- an argument that Robert M. McDowell supports in a
thoughtful essay for the Wall Street Journal.

You write that Robert M. McDowell, in his WSJ article, "supports" Al Franken's argument. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Al Franken, the Democratic Senator, argues that the net neutrality rules the FCC is now proposing don't go anywhere far enough. Robert McDowell, the Republican Commissioner, argues that they're already going way too far. They may both oppose the FCC proposal, but they do so from opposite ends.
