Twitter Crowns Colbert as the Most Retweeted Man of the Year

Let Zuck have his Person of the Year award, because Stephen Colbert just earned a more prestigious honor: the most retweeted man of the year. The tweet in question ("In honor of oil-soaked birds, 'tweets' are now 'gurgles.' http://bit.ly/cIhZNf") was linked to Comedy Central's 'Address the Mess' coverage, and retweeted over 44,000 times. Twitter co-founder Biz Stone presented a trophy to the comic/newsman on last night's 'Colbert Report.'
