'Civilization IV' Theme Grabs Grammy Nomination

The latest testament to the increased sophistication of video games is also a sign that the Grammys may have too many categories. Christopher Tin's "Baba Yetu," better known as the musical theme of 'Civilization IV,' has been nominated in the Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists category. Despite the fact that "Baba Yetu" was released five years ago, Tin's composition, which is a favorite at Video Games Live events, is somehow eligible for this year's awards, which will take place on February 13th, 2011.
