Microsoft Kinect Outpacing iPad in Sales (and Injuries)

According to Ars Technica, eager consumers purchased 2.5 million Kinect units during the product's first 25 days on the market. Microsoft executive Don Mattrick reportedly indicated that the company intends to "expedite production and shipments of Kinect to restock shelves as fast as possible to keep up with demand." He also believes the company is "on pace to reach [Microsoft's] forecast of 5 million units sold to consumers this holiday," which now seems like an easily attainable projection.
While the initial success definitely seems impressive -- and we definitely welcome the corresponding comedy of errors -- the numbers would undoubtedly be even more impressive if Microsoft could just release some (well, any) worthwhile Kinect games.

Let me guess, a fattie who can't dance for workout. Kinect is making me want my first console ever.
