According to TMZ, the 16-year-old Palin unleashed a flurry of profanity-laced insults after a Facebook friend commented that the show "is failing so hard right now." Palin didn't just call him -- and others -- "fat," "stupid," and a "dumbass," she also dropped an assortment of homophobic slurs. Although some suggested Willow's account had been hacked, Bristol Palin apologized for their reaction to users' comments in a posting on Facebook today.

First, what in the world is anything from the Huffington Post doing on here? We come for tech related news, not slanted BS. Second who thinks anything credible comes from the Huffington Post?
Now to the main point, calling someone a fag now days isnt homophobic. It is a negative comment, but nothing to with actually being gay. Even South Park covered this. I am so truly disappointed in Switched and perpetuating this garbage.

@(Unverified) While the word 'fag' is not an insult to gays by definition, it has been used a a derogatory term towards them, and is thus often offensive.
But I agree, I don't go to this blog (or any blog, for that matter) for the scoop on some bullshit gossip about pointless celebrities. Just because something happens on Facebook does not mean it has much to do with technology. I don't remember seeing anything about the school board official who said much worse things aimed directly at gays on Facebook. That was actually newsworthy. Keep this at the hellhole that is TMZ.
