Puzzle-Platformer 'Shift 3' Puts Your Perspective in Black and White

'Shift 3' is the mind-bending result of interplay between puzzle, platform and perspective. Like the first two games of the series, 'Shift 3' starts as a simple platformer, but quickly ups the ante with its unique "shift" ability. Shifting -- which is accomplished by hitting the shift key, natch -- inverts and upends the game's black-and-white world, turning backgrounds into platforms and allowing you to traverse previously inaccessible areas. To win, you'll not only need to manipulate each level properly, but will also need to utilize an array of tools -- from gravity-reversing arrows to movable platforms unlocked with an out-of-reach key. While the goal of each level is to reach an exit door, even this simple task is complicated by the presence of hidden pathways and alternate exits. Combine this bizarro world with fluidly animated, 'Prince of Persia'-esque platforming, and you have a game that will certainly shift your thinking. If only we could walk on both the ceiling and the floor...
