'Hawaii Five-0' Premiere Becomes Most DVR'd TV Show of All-Time

'Hawaii Five-0' most DVRed show ever.
According to Nielsen's first ratings of the 2010 to 2011 TV season, the premiere episode of CBS's 'Hawaii Five-0' rehash has the distinction of being the most DVR-ed show of all time. The Washington Post reports that about 3.4 million people recorded the show and watched it within the next week. In the DVR age, Nielsen has struggled with gauging exactly how many people watch a show. The Live+7 numbers, which account for viewers who record a show and watch it within seven days of when it aired, are now being added to a show's live numbers. In the case of 'Hawaii Five-0,' the "real" numbers indicate about 17.6 million viewers watched the premiere.

We haven't seen an episode of 'Hawaii Five-0,' but what's most impressive is that so many chose to record a show that can't possibly stand alongside the original. "Hawaii Five Zero?" Blasphemy. Titles like this are usually doomed to rot in a DVR's digital graveyard until somebody guiltily deletes them to make room for re-runs of 'The Office.'
