Xbox Kinect Peripherals Finally Land... With a Game Boat?
At a quarter of a century, Nintendo's illustrious history of entertaining, ridiculous and useless peripherals shouldn't need recounting. The arrival of motion-sensor technology for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 finally allows non-Nintendo gamers to share in that awesome and absurd add-on action, and various peripheral offerings are beginning to hit the market. Atomic Accessories (which seems to be an incredibly misleading title) is deflating the add-on excitement for anticipatory Xbox owners, because the company decided to create -- wait for it -- a two-person Game Boat. The little inflatable skiff (compatible with the game 'Kinect Adventure') apparently enables realistic floating boredom "without being clumsy in the living room." Yeah, perhaps if it's in the living room of Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
So, Wii owners get bowling balls, shotguns and sporting gear, while PS3 gamers have access to killer rayguns and realistic assault rifles. Now, Xbox owners get... an inflatable life raft? Ouch.
