'The Social Network' Star Says His Cousin Works at Facebook, Met Zuckerberg
It turns out that Jesse Eisenberg has more in common with Mark Zuckerberg than you might think. In a recent interview with Reuters, Eisenberg, who stars as Facebook's CEO in the recently released 'The Social Network,' revealed that his cousin is currently an employee at Facebook -- and that Zuck knows who he is.Just as shooting on the David Fincher film was drawing to a close, Eisenberg's cousin got a reportedly sweet job at Facebook. It didn't take long, however, for Zuckerberg to confront the new employee about his cousin's film, in what could've easily been the most awkward moment ever. "Mark came up to him at a party during his first week on the job and said: 'I think your cousin is playing me in a movie; that's really cool,'" Eisenberg explained. "I couldn't have heard better things from my cousin both personally and professionally about Mark. It coincides with how I feel having played him, as well."
As much as he admires Zuckerberg, though, Eisenberg has yet to meet him in person, and isn't even interested in using his product. "I don't use Facebook and I had never been on it prior to reading the script of 'The Social Network,'" the 26-year-old actor avowed. "But I went on it during pre-production and it was immediately evident to me why it's such a phenomenon."
