Oklahoma Sooners Suspend Jaz Reynolds Over Insensitive Tweets

Twitter is a lot like a firearm. If you don't know how to use it, you should just keep your hands off of it. According to The Orlando Sentinel, Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops suspended wide receiver Jaz Reynolds indefinitely on Wednesday for insensitive comments he'd made on his Twitter account about the recent shooting at the University of Texas in Austin. Reynolds wrote, "Hey everyone in Austin, tx.......kill yourself #evillaugh." Reynolds, a sophomore, later tweeted for everybody to "disregard that last tweet," but the damage was done and the account was deactivated by Wednesday afternoon. In a statement, Stoops said, "Our rivalry with Texas will not come at the expense of dignity and respect." If Texas needed any extra motivation for when it faces its rivals on the field this Saturday, Reynolds just foolishly provided it.
