World's Largest HD Screen Being Built at Charlotte Motor Speedway

For now, fans of the Dallas Cowboys can brag that their team's stadium boasts the world's largest HD video screen. Enjoy it while you can, Cowboys fans. According to DVICE, the Charlotte Motor Speedway will unveil, in April 2011, a 200-foot-by-80-foot Panasonic HD screen that will supplant the Cowboys' screen as the world's largest. The monster screen will cover an area of 16,000 square feet, weigh a whopping 165,000 pounds and be comprised of about 9 million LEDs. Panasonic's mammoth 720p screen will be placed on the track's backstretch, between turns 2 and 3, giving fans seated in the frontstretch's grandstands an eye-popping view.
